Who is faster James Stewart or Ricky Carmichael?
CARMICHAEL dude. Stewart is pretty good but Carmichael is so much higher up and advanced. Carmichael will always be the GOAT, and NO1, even Stewart, will ever be near as good as Carmichael. I mean i definatly give Stewart props on last season and an INSAIN comeback after that knee injury, but Carmichael still has every racer EVER toped in record wins. It was a HUGE 'Comp' loss to the sport but since Carmichaels retirment Stewart has Definatly dominated Outdoor Motocross '08 season and now hes done REALY well in the '09 super cross season. Stewart is one of the top riders at the moment, but like i said, Carmichael will always be THE G.O.A.T.

How do you know when to shift on a dirt bike?
Depends if its 2 stroke or 4 stroke. A 2 stroke bike you can tell by the RPMS which they will be real high which your bike will be very loud. Also if you have a 4 stroke bike you can shift anytime just 4 stroke bikes have torque all the time. so it really depends if your racing just cruising or whatever it all depends on what you r doing.

Most of the first motorcycles made were basically bicycles with an internal combustion engine strapped on somehow. These bikes were constructed just as "roads" were beginning to appear, so they were built to ride off road as well. Therefore, even the first motorcycles could be referred to as "dirt bikes". So dirt bikes (and street bikes) have been around since the dawn of motorycling, just at the time they were simply considered regular motorcycles.

Why the bike foul the spark plug?
There are only two things I can think of that cause spark plug fouling:
- The fuel mixture is way too "rich."
- The "oil" rings on the piston are worn, allowing crankcase oil to get past and above the piston into the combustion chamber.

I have an LRD pipe that carb was jetted for on my 2001 Raptor 660. I have seen 65-70 mph on State Hwy 360. I had to get to another part of a course and the only way that was accessible was about a half mile down the hwy. I opened her up and was keeping up with traffic @ 65 and still had a lil throttle.
