How do you set up encrypted email?

HOW TO SET UP ENCRYPTED EMAILFirst get a GMail account. GMail is Google's email account. With GMail, you can use an email program called Thunderbird to download and send email. It's all Free.
  • Look for the option to 'Create An Account'.
  • Enter the information to create your new Google account.
Get the Thunderbird EMail Program. It's all Free. Thunderbird is a program that will exist on your computer. It will run from your computer, as opposed to running from the internet.
  • Do an internet search using the term 'thunderbird email'
  • download the file and then install it
  • When you add your GMail account to Thunderbird it is very easy. In fact, there is an option to choose GMail right inside of Thunderbird.
  • Tools
  • Account Settings
  • Add Account
  • GMail
  • Next
Encryption Program It's all Free.
  • download the file and then install it.
Enigmail Addon To Thunderbird It's all Free. You must download and install Enigmail
  • Do an internet search using the term 'Enigmail'
  • Install Enigmail
  • After you have installed Enigmail
  • In Thunderbird, go to the Tool menu, and choose 'Add Ons'
  • There should be an 'Add On' list that lists Enigmail
  • Choose Enigmail and click 'Install'
  • In Thunderbird you will have a menu item named, "OpenPGP".
  • When you first installed Thunderbird, I don't think that menu item existed.
  • Click "OpenPGP", and choose the "setup wizard".
  • You will be asked to create a password. They call it a, private key I think.
  • Make sure you can remember your passphrase (private key?) the passphrase CAN NOT be retrieved by any means. So you need to store it somewhere. I use the password manager: http:/keepass.info
  • Go through the steps in the "OpenPGP" wizard to set up OpenPGP and create a public and private key.
Check to See if Everything is Set Up
  • To create an encrypted email, you will be creating a public key and a private key. The public key can be shared with anyone. But keep the private key secret.
  • If you went through the wizard, you will have already created the private and public key.
  • In Thunderbird you will have a menu item named, "OpenPGP"
  • Click the OpenPGP button and choose, "Key management"
  • In the search box, type in the name that you gave the email account
  • After typing a couple of letters, the "Key Pair" that you created will appear.
  • If nothing appears, then you have not yet created a "Key Pair".
Other SettingsEnigmail encryption does not work very well with HTML email. So go to TOOLS, ACCOUNT SETTINGS, COMPOSITION & ADDRESSING, and Uncheck COMPOSE MESSAGES IN HTML format.

OR Don't do any of that and:

hold down the shift key as you click on "Write" in the Thunderbird window. That composes the email in plain text.

Difference between apache and http server?

"Apache" is the name of a foundation that write open-source software. Apache HTTPD is a web server written in portable C (when people say "Apache", they usually mean Apache HTTPD.) It mostly serves static content by itself, but there are many add-on modules (some of which come with Apache itself) that let it modify the content and also serve dynamic content written in Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, or other languages.

Tomcat is primarily a servlet/JSP container. It's written in Java. It can serve static content, too, but its main purpose is to host servlets and JSPs. Although it's possible to get Tomcat to run Perl scripts and the like, you wouldn't use Tomcat unless most of your content was Java. How do you create stationery in thunderbird?

try "Stationery" extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/pl/thunderbird/addon/4394

I don't think you can actually create stationery in Thunderbird, but I found out a way to use any stationery you already have saved in a file. You can go to CloudEight or other stationery sites, download the stationery for "outlook" and save it to a file, like "stationery" in "my documents". Then when you write and email or respond to one in Thunderbird, click on "format", then "page colors and background", then select the "choose a file" button and then find your stationery file and select the one you want to use. It works pretty well.

What do you do if you have forgotten the password to your Mozilla Thunderbird email account?

How do you open Gmail account with out password?

It is not possible to access any ID without a password. If accounts are meant to be accessed by only username then nothing would be safe. Any person who knows your username then can easily access your account and can do wrong thing with your account.

Password for online accounts or anything is very important for protecting people's privacy, data and other things.

Where does thunderbird store calendar events?

All data is stored in your Thunderbird profile folder by default. It depends on you whether you have changed the storage location or not. By default it is stored in C drive of your system.
The built-in calendar database is stored in a file called storage.sdb. (You must know that Thunderbird come up with Sunbird (standalone calendar app), lightning and its built in calendar used with Mozilla or Thunderbird etc.)

What does add cc remove cc - add Bcc?

I assume you are talking about the areas on email that appear when you are sending one, so I will answer that question with that in mind. CC means "carbon copy". You can send a duplicate of that email to anyone's email address you put in that that section. When the email is opened the address(s) you put there will also show up in the opened email. Example: You send the main message to Aunt Betty, but you also want to send a copy to Cousin Itt. Both parties will see each other's name on the email. BCC means "blind carbon copy". When you put an email address in that section no one will see the person's name in that section when the email is opened. Example: You are planning a surprise party for Aunt Betty and send her an email telling her to come to your house at 6:00PM. In the *BCC* area you put Cousin Itt's name and Itt will get the message that the party is at 6 PM, but Aunt Betty won't know anything about it. It's a "blinded" carbon copy.

What is the difference between the functions of yahoo mail or gmail and mozilla thunderbird?

Yahoo! Mail and GMail are very similar, they are both web mails, meaning that they can be accessed from a web page and give you an email @yahoo.com or @gmail.com. Mozilla Thunderbird does not give you an email but it is a program, like Outlook, that allows you to access an email that you already have, like your GMail email for example.

Differentiate upward communication from downward communication?

upward compatibility in system terms refers to the compatibility of an existing version of a software or hardware with the newer and most of the times more powerful updated versions...For example, a program that runs on an Intel 386 microprocessor, also runs on a Pentium, is upward compatible... this is quite an advantage as is obvious... whereas the reverse is downward compatibilty...
