Does peripheral neuropathy cauxe lack of balance?
Neuropathy is a condition of the nerves that causes numbness, tingling, pain or pins and needles sensations in the hands, feet, arms or legs. It occurs differently for different people, but is always caused by nerve damage of some sort. All Neuropathy is caused by damage to the nerves. Nerves are the communication lines of the body. Electrical signals from the brain travel through the nerves and give instructions to the various body parts. The body receives information from the envirnment through the senses and sends this I nformaiton to the brain via the nerves. Breakdown of the myelin sheath around the nerves. Without this protection the electrical signals are not transferred properly just like if you stripped the covering off the electrical wires in you house.
As the nerve damage gets worse, the nerves either l ose their ability to transmit information (numbness) or they start sending false signals (Pain or tingling).
However, if the nerve that is damaged is a motor nerve, it can cause you to lose your balance and other problems depending on what nerve it effects. It is becoming widely known that certain special forms of B vitamins have a lot to do with repairing nerve damage. Some people have tried larege amounts of ordinary B1, B12 or B complex vitamins and they find that it does not help them. Ordinary B vitamins are water-soluble and they wash out of the body long before they get to the required levels needed in your blood stream sot that it can begin repairing nerve damage.
I found one that has all of these in a good form that can be used - www.realfoodnutrients.com/neu/home.htm?sid=WA
Can topiramate be used for neuropathic pain?
According to research, topiramate, a second-generation antiepileptic drug (AED), can be effective in treating neuropathy, but there is no way to predict who will respond and who won't. The drug has a reasonably benign side-effect profile (doesn't cause liver problems), but can cause significant cognitive impairment in some people. This may be reversed when the medication is discontinued.
If your current medication isn't helping as much as you'd like, talk to your doctor about trying it.
What is causing your right foot to sting inside along the right side of your foot?
There are too many possibilities to say with certainty without an exam by a health care professional such as your primary doctor or a podiatrist, which would be recommended if this persists.
Some common causes would include:
Plantar fasciitis - inflammation of the fascia tissue connected to the heel and bottom of your foot, especially if the pain is first thing in the morning (which can be aggravated or caused by lack of good arch support in your shoes.)
Diabetic neuropathy - nerve damage in your feet due to long term or poorly controlled diabetes mellitus.
Nerve damage - could be temporary from minor bruising of nerves from trauma or from repetitive pressure on the nerves of the foot, poorly fitted shoes, etc. Can sometimes become permanent if evaluation and treatment is delayed.
Bunion pain - if the pain/stinging is near the joint at the base of the big toe.
Insect bites or stings.
Tumors of the tissues of the foot pressing on nerves.
Neuromas -" tumors of the nerves", more appropriately called swelling in the nerves, since not actual tumors.
Toxic exposure to some chemicals causing nerve damage.
Other Neuropathy - e.g., from chronic kidney disease or alcoholism/liver disease.
Vitamin B deficiency.
Septic arthritis.
true i think a dying person should be given pain medications and i dont think that low blood pression automatically constitutes no pain.

What kind of Nerve damage will cause insensitivity to pain?
I believe (although not an expert) that any damage to nerves could potentially affect pain sensitivity. But more common is nerve damage that causes "altered sensation" rather then pain insensitivity. It usually causes a person to FEEL pain or some type of itching/crawling sensation than remove the pain sensation, although it is obviously a possibility if the nerves are damaged badly enough ... as in with paralysis.
The pain insensitivity disorders (HSAN - Hereditary Sensory Autonomic Neuropathies) are all genetically based, so these people were born with a genetic nerve problem - although HSAN type I does not present in infancy and only appears in the second or third decade of life.

Is spondylolisthesis of the spine a serious problem?
Yes, spondylolisthesis of the spine is always considered a serious problem. This is true because spondylolisthesis by definition is a problem of instability and misalignment, and as such always has the potential to suddenly worsen.
Spondylolisthesis the forward movement or slippage of one spinal bone (vertebra) in relation to the position of the vertebra that is immediately below it. The forward movement is theoretically possible in any area of the spine, but is more common in cervical spine (neck) and the lower spine (low back). Spondylolisthesis occurs either as a result of weakness of the structure of a spinal bone when a part (pars interarticularis) is not formed correctly, or as a result of violent trauma to the spine that causes fracture of the spinal bone that allows for this abnormal movement.
This abnormal alignment problem can at times be minimal and hard to detect even with careful measurement, and at other times the amount of forward movement can be considerable in which the two vertebrae almost lose contact from each other.
Any degree of forward movement in a case of spondylolisthesis represents instability to the spinal column where it occurs and thus a serious threat to the spinal cord, as well as cause pain and reduced spinal movement.
Pain is the first symptom that alerts to a developing spondylolisthesis, sometimes mild and occasional, or sometimes constant and severe. Even if a spondylolisthesis causes slight pain or even no pain, it should be considered serious because every case of forward slippage of a vertebra has the potential to suddenly become worse as a result of a sudden fall, automobile accident or simply the advancement of the spinal spondylosis (aging of the spine).

Pain after swimming that is severe when you touch your ear is typically due to an infection of the external ear. See your health care provider for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
That's probably not a good idea. If it's infected it could cause some serious problems if it isn't dealt with properly. Of course the above is true. If you leave the tooth and it rots it can go into the jaw bone and also cause facial pain and also spread to the teeth on each side. It's best to have it pulled. Dentists today have different bridges that can be put in your mouth to replace the canine tooth. There are many things a dentist could do. If the infection is in the gingiva (gums), it is called Periodontal Disease and can be treated. If the infection is at the apex of the root (the tip of the root), it is called an abscess. It is treated with antibiotics and pulled usually.
Now if you are only experiencing periodontal disease and the nerve is dead, the dentist will perform a root canal treatment. And you will be able to keep your tooth but it will have a covering over it called a crown. You SHOULD NEVER leave an infection especially in the oral cavity. If you wait too long especially if its an abscess, you can cause bone loss in your jaw which is extremely painful. Hope this helps.
My advice... go see your dentist ASAP!!!!
