How do you replace wiper blades on a 1998 Oldsmobile Delta 88?
I believe there is no 1998 Oldsmobile Delta 88 but there is a 1998 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight. The procedure is the same for the Delta 88 and the Eighty Eights - only the size of the side lock pin changes. If you lookup wiper blades by make, model and year, you'll get the correct parts with the correct side lock pin size.
The 1998 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight has fairly unique "1/4" side lock" wiper arm attachments. See Sources and Related Links below for installation videos. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Its very easy.
Try cleaning off your battery posts and connections, ignition switch a possibility, try wiggling the key around when you start the car, if it starts you found your problem. first check the battery. it should have @14.2 volts without any loads. With @ 500 amp draw it should go no lower thaan 9.6 volts. next is to check the "pigtail" wiring coming off of the alternator, look for burns or breaks in the wires, especially the purple one. after that, ya have look really hard at the ignition switch. it's a pain, but you can check it.

Where is the Wiper fuse number for a 94 olds delta 88?
"Wiper fuse number." Not sure what you mean. I'm assuming you know where the fuse box is located on the vehicle. Under the dash, above your legs as you're sitting in the driver's seat. The backside of the fuse box cover usually has (if not removed) a diagram showing you which fuses operate what systems. Good luck.

How do you align headlights on Oldsmobile delta 88?
Park your car on a level surface about 10 ft. away from a flat wall or garage door. Wait until it's just dark enough to be able to clearly see the beam on the wall.
Measure from the ground to the center of your headlight. Now mark that height on the wall directly in front of each headlight.
With the lights on HIGH beam - center them where you've made your marks on the wall. I know this is a "shade tree mechanic" trick, but it's always served me well, no matter what vehicle I was driving.

What is wrong if a 1986 Olds Delta 88 knocks and backfires at startup?
Your timing is out of whack. Whats happening is the piston is still on its up stroke with the intake valve open when the combustion is starting. That's whats causing the knocking and backfiring. Does it only do this at startup? Does it run? You should get a timing light on her and fix the timing.
Did you just change the spark plugs recently and maybe got them in the wrong spot.If not,Could be mistaken, but believe the advance and retardation of timing is controlled electronicaly, and that unit runs about 200 dollars or more.
No power to the ecm. Check the fuse marked ECM in the underhood fuse panel(located in the middle top of the firewall)

How do you properly open the interior door panel for a 1988 delta 88 Oldsmobile royale?
Remove the window switch control panel on the arm rest of the door panel. This a tensioned spring held insert assembly. You get it out by carefully inserting a screwdriver or butter knife under the back end (towards the rear wheels end) and pop it upwards. (You can now do window switch repairs without going any further. WD40 is good on corroded contacts too.) Unplug the switch assembly. There may be a door panel/ armrest holding screw or two now exposed for removal. There are two large screws under the ends of the door pull strap. Use a real thin blade to pull off the plastic end covers then remove those screws. You now need a panel removal tool which has a " V " or a dinner serving fork with the center prongs removed to go around under the panel edges. Carefully pry out the plastic retainers that are attached to the panel edges from the holes in the door frame. It is easy to tear the retainers out of the cardboard backside or break the plastic retainers if you just "rip" it off. Repair torn cardboard and retainer with expoxy before replacing the panel. Replacement plastic retainers are generally available at your local hardware store. Unscrew (anti clockwise) the door lock button. The panel must be lifted up as it is hooked to the door at the top edge. The window switch assembly can be unplugged and set aside. Anyone with non electric windows - remove the window roller handle. LOL
Where is heater fan relay on a 1995 Olds Eighty Eight LSS?
WOW! If the heater fan relay is in the same place on a 95 that it is on a 96, your gonna have fun getting to it! Trust me on this one, GM's strong point has never been wiring let alone, how they accomplished tie deed.
If your looking for the heater relay, I'm assuming that you've already found the power distribution block and relay distribution centers located separately in the engine compartment and you've also located the power distribution center (smaller fuse panel) in the drivers area to no avail. Unfortunately, there is another power distribution and relay center that is hidden in the passenger area, when I say it's hidden, I'm not even joking. It's located between the heater core box and outside fender skin and just behind passenger side hinge post. I don't remember if you will be able to see it by removing the glove box or if you have to remove the many under skirting panels and dress parts to get a glimpse at it, either way, it's nearly impossible to reach let alone, trouble shoot or repair and may God help you if any of the several relays or fuses need repaired or replaced. This is no exaggeration, if you do manage to get a look at it, it'll be the only daylight this thing has been exposed to since it was stuffed into the hole that was built around it.
The heater relay that you're looking for is not just another simple relay, its part of an intricate circuitry known as you climate control system. If by chance you are looking for this relay because your heater unrepentantly comes on by itself even while the key is not in the ignition, you may be in luck. If this is the problem that your experiencing, check to see if the display is also coming for you climate control and temp display. If it is then your problem is not the relay, it's the accessory power distribution center relay which I suspect may also be located in the dreaded "hidden panel".
What I did was this and it works great! I dropped the fuse panel on the drivers side, clipped the wire that was powering the accessory center and climate control. I then added a micro relay (a Bosch relay will also work) across the open wire to bridge the circuit and used the ignition fuse to key the relay. This way the original power source for the hidden panel is still in tact and yet the switching source is now controlled by the redundant source that you just added.
