The Japanese bomber and fighter planes attacked Pearl Harbor in the early morning of December 7th 1941.

Safe Harbor can have several meanings. It could be taken literal as a harbor for the safety of ships in a storm. But the legal definition is a regulation that eliminates a person's liability if that person preform an act in good faith with the standards under the law.

1. If anything, Germany would not have wanted Japan to attack the United States; Germany wanted Japan to attack the SOVIET UNION (Russia); to relieve pressure on the German Army's Russian Front. 2. By all accounts, Germany was taken by surprise by the Japanese attack on the US Naval Base at Pearl Harbor. 3. Japan had it's own plans for the Pacific and Asia. Germany had it's own plans for Europe. If they both could "link-up" via the Suez Canal (Japan was moving towards India, Germany was fighting for control of the N. Africa); then other plans for world conquest could have been drawn up.

Pearl Harbor was only one battle; not the war. Wars are mostly a series of battles. A nation can WIN every battle and still lose a war. Or, a nation can LOSE every battle and still win a war. One of the elements of the "Art of War" is "surprise." Japan planned on delivering a "surprise knock-out punch" to the US Navy. It was successful in carrying out that mission. Had they not been successful; the battles of the Java Sea, Savo Island, Guadalcanal, etc. would have been BATTLESHIP ENGAGEMENTS instead of CRUISER sea battles. Those cruiser sea fights were fought without battleships, because the US Battleships were sunk at Pearl Harbor.

After the attacks on Pearl Harbor, many white Americans began to distrust Japanese Americans and their patriotic loyalties. Also, the Japanese Navy's location was unknown at the time, and thus many believed that a Japanese attack on the west coast could have occurred at any time. Many white Americans believed that Japanese Americans could provide intelligence for the Imperial Japanese forces, and that if the Japanese Navy were to attack the west coast, Japanese Americans would join the invaders and help fight against the United States. Many white Americans believed that the internment was justified, and the US Supreme Court agreed. In Korematsu v. United States, the Supreme Court ok'd the internment of Japanese Americans, citing public safety and protection against espionage to be a valid reason for internment and the taking of civil rights and liberties from Japanese Americans.

Pearl Harbor didn't make things worse for the allies. Pearl Harbor CAUSED the US Navy to use a better weapon; the aircraft carriers. Had the US Carriers been destroyed at Pearl harbor, the US Navy would have been forced to fight with Battleships. Japanese Carriers would have slaughtered ALL US Battleships at sea! Pearl Harbor brought the US into war with Germany; which is what Roosevelt & Churchill WANTED. Germany declared war on the US on Dec 11, 1941 (in the hopes that Japan would help Germany by opening a second "front" on Russia). Pearl Harbor "United" the US People; which is what Roosevelt wanted.

Harry S. Truman, who had been Vice-President for only 3 months, took over when Roosevelt died on April 12, 1945, just before the end of World War II. Truman was responsible for authorizing the nuclear strikes against Japan later that year.

He left high school to enter the Naval Academy Class of 1905. It was many years later, after he had become a Fleet Admiral that he actually was awarded his high school diploma. At the Academy Nimitz was an excellent student, especially in mathematics and graduated with distinction -- seventh in a class of 114. He was an athlete and stroked the crew in his first class year. The Naval Academy's yearbook, "Lucky Bag", described him as a man "of cheerful yesterdays and confident tomorrows."

Japan thought that the US was going to attack them so Japan attacked us first even though we were not going to attack them. And pearl harbor ended when Japan ran out of planes on there carriers.

Shake your freon , put the applicator on the nipple turn the can upside down and apply . I would get one with a gauge so you dont overfill !
