its free for putting words on and a bunch more. there are just a few things u cannot do unless you have prenium. (which you have to pay for). But the rest is free :)

If the Layers palette is missing, you can return it by clicking on the "Window" menu near the top of Photoshop, then selecting "Layers" to ad a checkmark next to it, indicating that it is now visible.

The issue is with the mouse behaviour in Mac OS10.7, not with Illustrator itself. I have solved the problem by turning off the mouse scrolling while in an Illustrator session. To do this:

> universal access [it's here, not under "mouse"!]

> mouse, then select "mouse options"

> deselect "scrolling"

yes, but you will have very large file if layers are included and experts recommend .psd format for files with layers. If you work in Photoshop better choice is .psd format when layers are included in file, if you need to save in .tif, after choosing this format it will ask you for kind of compression, best choice is LZW, if you choose none, then file size will be huge.

It completely depends on the version of Photoshop - older versions need to correct it manually, where newer versions have specific tools and filters for it. It also depends on the image file format as to the procedures.

You can check on the Adobe Photoshop support site which has tutorials and specific information pertaining to your version on red eye removal, which is a common problem.

The alternate solution if you're working with a lot of images is to get a Photoshop Plug-in like Intellihance. Plug-ins like Intellihance automatically filter red-eye and optimize the image with several mouse clicks. Google Intellihance to find a supplier - it's very common.
