There are two ways of doing this.

The easiest (but less powerful) way of doing it is to click and drag a box with the text tool. All text typed into it will stay within the box.

If the text overflows the box however, you will see a small '+'

sign in the bottom right hand corner and the overflowed text will remain invisible.

The alternative method which is much more powerful, as you are not restricted to rectangular boxes only is to use the shapes tool (rectangle tool for columns obviously). Make sure that you are only creating paths (the leftmost button on the top tool bar).

Once you have created the columns, click the text tool, and click inside the path. You will notice the cursor changes (don't click on the path, as that will make the text follow the path itself, rather than being contained within it).

The advantage of this method is that you can create any shape you like and the text will flow only within the shape. For instance, if your page layout had text running next to a picture of a person against a plain background, you could use the pen tool to roughly trace around the person, and the text would flow around the person's shape.

However. The best piece of software for doing typesetting is Adobe InDesign. You can create columns (or text areas) and set up 'flows', so that the text automatically flows into the next column.

Quick Selection Tool creates selections by automaticaly detecting edges based on color and texture similarity of surounding pixels with clicked point. You can click or click and drag to create selection with Quick Selection Tool.

go to layer(menu bar)-new-layer via copy , this will create new layer with selection which can be edited,if its wrong selection(opposite of what you want) delete layer(right click-delete) go back and invert selection :select(from menu)-inverse, and again layer-new-layer via copy

It will depend on what exactly do you want to achieve by editing the picture.

If you want to play with effects and add stickers to the photo, then PicsArt would be a good option for you.

If you are more into digital plastic surgery and want to edit your figure/facial traits, then you better use Photodiva portrait editor.

If you want to restore old pictures and remove all the scratches and stains from them, then you'll need Photoglory. It's a paid software but it has free trial version.

Of course, all these things could be done in multipurpose photo editors like Photoshop or Photoworks or Lightroom, but they are usually paid, too. Still, you can get a free trial version to see whether the software is worth paying for.

Just add the fonts to your windows fonts folder,if they are compatible photoshop will automaticaly take it from the windows fonts folder.

RGB is color model and is used to describe colors using numbers and to determine number of possible colors. You can change color model from Image > Mode > choose color model. RGB is suitable for screen and different devices including internet. Other color modes are CMYK suitable for professional printing, Lab, Grayscale.

Although RGB is mainly for devices and screens it is recommended to work in this color mode before converting to CMYK.

Different color spaces within color mode can contain different range and number of possible colors in document (image). RGB color mode have different spaces like sRGB which can contain less colors then Adobe RGB but is supported by most browsers while browsers do not support Adobe RGB color profile, so when you want to post images on internet or send them on email first convert to sRGB profile (space) from File > Save for Web & Devices (turn on Convert to sRGB) or Edit > Convert to Profile > RGB > sRGB IEC61966-2.1.

ProPhoto RGB is largest color space and is designed for feature devices and printers...

If the picture started very small, you might not have much to go on. Changing the resolution size might help, though. Go to Image->Image size (alt-ctrl-l) and find the box that says 'resolution'. Enter a value that is at least 2000. Check the results.

It has special design tools, you can prototype a full webpage page layout, and quickly convert it to HTML, so you can publish online. :) That's atleast what I've read.

I'm assuming you mean like photo-manipulation. Photo-manipulation is pretty much the same thing as putting two different pictures into one whole one. If you mean putting them side by side then what you need to do is open them both in photoshop and measure them both out and then open a new document with both the sizes included. example(1): Open a 100x100 pixel-inch image and a 420X360 pixel-inch. If you want the two to be exactly identical then you will need to use the crop tool on the larger image to scale it down. Select what you want with the crop tool and then scale it down by hitting the ENTER key. (it's actually one of my favorite tools) then when you have it down to a decent size (or if you decided not to scale down) open your new file with the size of the two added in. 420x460 (since the height really won't matter in this case. Just go with the larger height. Width is what you want to worry about). then what you do is cut and paste the two items into your new picture. As for photo-manipulation, I'm not an expert on that. Paint Shop Pro is an image manipulation software utility. It usually comes with several different `filters' (effects capabilities, etc) and effects to allow you to do some very interesting things to your picture files.

Working in layers as an example:

Layer 1 = Sky Layer 2 = Grass Layer 3 = Tree Layer 4 = Grass to cover tree base Layer 5 = Flower growing out of the ground around the tree base

The program is also known for "PSP Tubes" which are images with transparent backgrounds, that are used in the way you would use a stamper. Tubes can be saved in the picture tubes folder for future use. The program is also popular for image manipulation such as "Make-overs" where you can edit a family photo to enhance the features of ones eyes, lips, and even make them appear thinner or heavier. Paint Shop Pro allows you to work with Vectors and Rasters.

Layers for clipping must be one above another where layer above will be clipped into layer below. Hold down Alt key on keyboard and navigate pointer with mouse button to line between two layers until cursor transform to arrow with two circles, then click and layers are clipped.

It is quite easy to learn Adobe Photoshop. There are many tutorials online that one can watch to learn Adobe Photoshop. There are even books that teach you how to use Adobe Photoshop.

I think that Adobe products like Photoshop and Lightroom totally go into this list. Also there are many programs that are much easier and more suitable for beginners, thus widely used as well: Photoworks, Photoinstrument, Affinity Photo, etc.

The fastest and easiest way is definitely looking up information and tips on the internet. The official website, blogs and tutorials can be of great help. If you've bought Adobe Photoshop, you might have also got a manual along with the software installer.
