How do you remove the rear seat on a 1973 Plymouth duster?
The bottom section comes out a little bit easier than the "back" section. Along the floorwall section there is a metal loop that fits into metal bracket under the seat. You will need to pull up on the back of the seat and then push down on the front. You will then be able to take the seat out of the car.
The back section also has a similar bracket near the center of the upper back support. You will need to unscrew 4(?) metal screws in the framework of the back support and then lift the section out.

How do you identify the rearend in a 1970 duster?
If you are looking at the back of the rear end axle and you see a cover in the centre held on by 9 bolts, then you have what is called a 7 1/4 rear end. If there are no bolts and it's just a smooth but a half moon raised area, then it's an 8 3/4 rear end and it sure can take a lot of abuse!!!
you will have to jack up the engine on that side to re-bolt it on.
