What kind of poison will get rid of a groundhog?
There are many items on the market to kill groundhog including trapping and releasing them. I'd rather kill them outright ... after years of dealing with them, they have destroyed and chewed through my cedar fence, they destroy everything in the yard, I have a huge backyard and I no longer plant ANYTHING...these animals eat flowers, vegetables all of it...I too love animals, don't get me wrong but when groundhogs are destroying my property you better believe it's a problem...there are holes in my yard and my dogs have fallen in...I have used the poison smoke which works extremely well for the young groundhogs but you must do it at night or early evening when they are all underground enjoying a nap. I was able to kill all the young groundhogs. The adults are tough. It looks like I will be trapping those because the poison hasn't worked and besides I have dogs. I know some of you are besides yourself but unless you live in a hut with no running water and electricity and strictly eat plants and wash your hair with just water I don't want to hear it...we ALL leave a carbon footprint behind and pests are a nuisance. I assume you won't kill roaches either?

Can a butterfly poison a human?
According to an Internet search, there is no butterfly that is so poisonous that it would kill a human. There are butterflies that are extremely distasteful to birds and other such predators due to the larva's consumption of poisonous plants. The Monarch butterfly is a well-known example of that. The larva eat milkweed.
Is the bee venom the same venom as rattlesnake venom?
That is subject to a number of conditions.
Rattlesnakes often reserve their venom when biting a large animal in defense. The bite, by itself, sends the message to leave the snake alone and saves venom for use on prey. That led to a number of (stupid) first aid treatments such as giving whiskey to a snakebite victim. If the person had been envenomated the whiskey would probably kill them.
Drop-for-drop, bee venom is said to be more dangerous than rattlesnake venom. It takes about 1000 stings to kill an average-weight person (See link below):
With honey bees the toxic dose (LD50) of the venom is estimated to be 8.6 stings per pound of body weight. Obviously, children are at a greater risk than are adults. In fact, an otherwise healthy adult would have to be stung over 1,000 times to be in risk of death.
One could argue that your statement is valid because a single rattlesnake bite can be fatal.
Control, decoration, and food are poison ivy's purpose in the natural world. The wild herbaceous plant in question (Toxicodendron radicans) functions as a deterrent to uncontrolled human traffic through its allergic reactions and therefore as a guardian of against compacted soils and environmental pollution (from human-dropped litter). It also serves as a landscape beautifier through its colorful berries -- which non-allergic wildlife enjoy consuming -- and fall colors.

Answer:Actually, the eggs are protected in arsenic. There is a Chinese bird that is immune to the arsenic, enabling it to prey on stinkbugs. Also, you don't die from touching them. Arsenic is a poison that if you consume enough of it, you will die. In large amounts, it gets into the blood stream. In other words, don't eat stinkbugs. Answer:No. The Brown Marigold Stinkbug is actually not poisonous. There are other known species that may be poisonous, but they live in other countries. They are poisonous if you eat them but if you touch them they will not poision you
Why is a snake not killed by his own poison?
Poisonous animals are not generally poisonous to eat. Their poisons generally need to be injected in some fashion directly into the bloodstream. Ingesting these poisons prevents this in most instances, because the digestive system breaks down the toxins before they can be introduced to the bloodstream.
What should you do if your dog ate gopher poison?
You should take your dog to the vet right away. They will pump her stomach to get the majority of the poison out. If you put down gopher poison be very careful and watch you dog when it is outside so this does not happen.
NO! Caffeine in any form is lethal to dogs (I'm not sure about cats). If dogs consume it, they can actually die, whether it's tea, coffee, or even chocolate. And if you mean by putting the tea on their coats, then no, it's not good for them that way, either. The tannin in tea has a drying effect and can dry out their coat and skin, causing a lot of problems for them.
What poison can kill a dog quickly?
do not feed ham to dogs they will die apporximately one hour after they eat it and other poisons are the stuff that poisons us and the poison that we kill ants with Ham is NOT poison to dogs, if your dog has an allergic reaction because of food allergies, negative effects may occur, but generally speaking, it is a safe food for most dogs. Other foods that should not be fed to dogs include, but are not limited to, grapes, raisins, chocolate of any form, or rawhides. If swallowed, rawhide chewies are non digestible, and may stay in your dog's system and rot. Many dogs are given these and have no problems occur, but they can be dangerous and possibly fatal. Also, you should keep dogs away from any chemicals dangerous to children; bleach, ant killer, insect killer, windex, harsh shampoos, etc. I hope this helps,
a lot of species have sharp teeth and really dirty mouths (full of bacteria) you can get an infection from - some species of large lizards like komodo dragons and heila monsters and monitor lizards have poison saliva - to slow down prey.
Do snails or slugs eat rat poison?
I think that the answer is yes. I bought some Mouse poison, pot it under a cover and eventually after a week or so never saw the mice again. Tthe packet said to keep it topped up till the mice stopped eating it. Tthis has been going on for weeks now and I keep finding lots of slugs in the bait, so I can only assume that the slugs are eating the bait

What do you do if your dog ate an ant poison?
My dog ate ant poison but she is fine now, just give him some milk or make sure he drinks plenty of water, then he will likely be okay.
The problem may be more from the packaging, if they ate parts of that, too, than from the small amount of poisons. Those plastics or metal containers can cause stomach and intestinal issues if they are not easily passed in the stool. Call a poison control center or your vet for help in preventing those GI problems.
In the meantime, watch their stools to be sure they are having them as usual, look for excess mucus or blood in the stool, if they are not eating as usual, or if their bellies get hard and big, and report that to a vet as soon as possible. Some of the things that have been suggested until you can speak to someone to help, is to feed them a piece or two of bread which can help push the smaller pieces through the bowel with bread balls to help cover any sharp edges, or soak 2 or 3 cotton balls (consider the size of the dog) in olive oil or vegetable oil and feed them to the dog (they will think you are wonderful for the treat). The cotton will not harm them in any way and, like the bread, it can wrap around pieces of the containers that might have sharp edges until they are passed through.

What are signs and symotoms of a poisonous snakebite?
I do not know about ALL snakes, but have had recent experience with the bite of the Eastern Diamondback Rattler. My dog (40 lbs) got bit twice on the face- both fangs each time, yep 4 holes. She didn't cry when it happened. Asked to go in house. It was hot, so let her. Thirty minutes later- she was salivating extensively and her face was swollen. Her eyes were strange, almost glassy. She would not come when called. By the time I got her to the vet, my Aussie Cattle Dog looked like a javelina! All the angles of her face were gone. Her entire head was triangular from swelling. The swelling progressed downward through her entire body. The pain they feel is incredible I have been told. Dogs may bite their unsuspecting owners when they pick up the dog. If your baby has these symptoms, for goodness sakes, quit reading and get to the vet! Please do not wait until morning. And yes, $2000 later, with 1 night of doggy ICU, complete with anti-venom and morphine...she made it. I didn't know for about 1 week if she would. It is THAT bad. Good luck, Shasta's Mommy
A venomous snakebite will cause swelling at the bite location within a couple of minutes. The first thing to do if you suspect your dog has been bitten is to feel for a lump and look for two puncture wounds near the lump. Get your dog to the vet immediately!
Other early symptoms may include restlessness, panting, drooling and weakness, followed by possible collapse or seizures. But don't wait this long to seek medical attention.
Swelling and pain the affected area, excess salivation resulting in foaming or slobbering, followed by dehydration, increased anxiety, attempting to lick or bite the affected area, followed shortly by uneven respiration, more swelling and redness. get the dog to emergency treatment immediately.

Are dry oleander flowers poisonous?
Oleander is poisous to humans, but not to the touch. You have to eat it or make a tea with it in order to be harmed. The most recent sad story I know was a family on a driving trip pulled over and roasted hotdogs on sticks cut from oleander. The smoke from that plant is dangerious too and, as I recall, the family perished. However, they're a hardy, attractive plant, and if you remember they're poisonous, you should be okay.
No, unless the cat has a transmittable disease or parasites such as worms. If you are handling it in any way such as cleaning a litter box, you should always was your hands. Preferably with an antibacterial soap.
Are dahlia's poisonous to animals?
Dhalias are poisonous to humans only in large quantities, so unless an animal eats a lot of it, it's probably going to be fine.
