On their own, each person can reduce their noise pollution amounts by... *Rakeing leaves by hand, don't use a noisy leaf blower. *Triming bushes or shrubs by hand, don't use a noisy bush trimmer. *Sound proof rooms that might have music conducted in them, like a room with a piano or if someone in the hosue plays drums or guitar or whatever. This can be done simply with curtains, window inserts, carpeting, and closing windows and doors. *Not blasting music on the radio or computer or speakers. Be considerate of your own ears and those of other around you. *Not slamming doors / car doors, close them eaily and with only as much force as needed. (People don't usually think of this, but imagine - how loud is it when you slam your car door? Pretty tolerable. But imagine thousands of people doing so. Now that can start to get loud. *Turninf off the TV or radio when you aren't actually fully listening to it. *Traiing their dogs not to bark so much. *Not yelling. Have civil conversations. Call someone or go find them instead of yelling across the street for them, for example. *Planting trees and bushes around you house. They help keep the air clean, absorb sound, give privacy, and add nice design and looks to a house. *Doing noisy things (dishes, hammering, ect.) over or on a rubber mat to reduce noise. *Puting carpets, rugs, mats, throw rugs, ect. in their houses / mats outside. *Puting fabric window coverings instead of plastic or wooden shades / blinds. *Not revving up a motorcycle or car unless it is actually needed for the drive. *Don't beep your carn horn "just because", make sure it is a legitamate reason.

Almost every country in the world has laws on pollution which are directed at its own citizens. These may be developed nationally at the regional, state, or provincial level and at the municipal level. In addition there are international accords relating to pollution, oil discharges, the use of certain chemicals with environmental impact and global warming.

Some of the laws an be Draconian with the dumping of hazardous waste being regarded as a capital offence. However most are more reasonable with the imposition of fines, imprisonment or mandatory cleanup as a penalty.

The enforcement of many laws is questionable.

Environmental considerations are also woven into may non environmental legislation. In NAFTA between Canada the US and Mexico there are special provisions which ensure that there is no economic advantage to one area or the other being a pollution friendly jurisdiction.

because it is renewable that means it natural and can never run out. it can cause less pollution because it doesn't give out any once it is built. when people are building dams fr hydroelectricity they obviously cause allot of pollution because of the machinary and the fuel that is being used. however renewable enery doesn't create any pollution but building it does.

humans pollute the environment mainly because they dont believe that the little polluting that they do can cause a big amount of harm to the ozone layer. The fact that million or more individuals pollute the environment causes a higher percentage of damage towards the ozone layer. Up north or places that are extremely cold begin to become destroyed ,the ice melts and the cold areas become warmer causing the polar bears habitat to be gone. This is a major problem.

There are many causes of air pollution. Automobile exhaust, fireplaces and wood stoves, factories, airplanes, cigarettes, and hydrocarbons all contribute to air pollution.

Pollution is really bad and needs to stop. So put down those car keys and walk to the store next time.

it will help the earth because if we continue with the way we are going now there will be many unseen areas and it will kill us all.If we reduce air pollution we can ad least still live

One of the major air pollution problems are caused by high levels of carbon monoxide that are emitted from gasoline driven road and farm vehicles. These emissions and others from gasoline driven engines produce unclean air which damages the human body and the general environment.
Other sources of major air pollution come from some large nations that are building more manufacturing plants. If these factories are burning coal to enable them to operate, then adequate measures can be taken to filter the factory emissions as they are pushed into the atmosphere and travel via winds to pollute the air in locations thousands of miles away from the sources of the air pollution.

Chemical disasters are related to industrial accidents for which animals and/or humans are harmed. An example is toxic oil spills leak into public drinking water causing humans and animals to become sick or perish.

Traffic pollution affects human s body parts like skin disorder,respiratory malfunction,etc,etc.It is because pollution consists of harmful gases like co2,so2,n2o etc.........as these gases are danger to human health they create a problem in us

With removal of part of the forest, it cannot hold as much water. The effect of this could be a drier climate. * Extinction of species which need the forest for survival. Forests contain more than half of the animals on our planet - as the habitat of these species is destroyed, so the numbers of species die.

Litter hurts the earth in many ways.

First, some litter are made of materials such as plastic. These materials are not biodegradable. That means it will not dissolve in a natural environment, and may stay where it is thrown for a long time, hurting the organisms around it. Plastic bottles and bottle caps are examples of plastic litter.

However, some litter are biodegradable. THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU SHOULD LITTER THESE THINGS. They are paper, tissues, paper towels, toilet paper.....etc. Basically, they are the things that will dissolve if it rains, or if something eats it.

Pollution is a very bad thing. its not only that Singapore is getting affected, its even affecting the global environment. it is making like around half of the ice in Antarctica melting and the water in the ocean is rising. you could stop it by making solar panels cars and let everybody buy it. it is even affecting the ozone layer because when the sun turns around and the moon comes up it is heating the earth. that's why it so hot in cold days.

Most human activities cause air or water pollution.

• Typically plastic do not break down and therefore are not environmentally friendly.
• Plastic bottles and some containers tend to leach toxins when heated put through different temperature changes.
• For example, freezing a water bottle and then drinking from it as it thaws changes the plastic and then contaminates the water.
• Another disadvantage to using plastic is that most are not recyclable in most parts of the world.

By helping the environment. Keep things out of water that really doesn't belong there. If you see anything that doesn't belong there, pick it up. Also, stop using plastic bags. Sea Turtles can mistake them for jellyfish and choke to death. So, just keep the water clean and waste free.

There can be a lot of bad effects for example animals like penguins they can be affected by the environment if it is sunny.but there are different asppects of the environment that can affect animals for example the nature sorrounding them rain ,sun,snow and even water.by mainly global warming is another factort that is gonna affect animals and this is mainly caused by us people polluting using fossil fuels or even realisng carbindioxide in the air this can have agreat eefct on animals especillly those in the antaltic as the sea levels will rise causing damage to both the land and the people

A landfill is essentially a contained repository for wastes. It is. by desig.n isolated from groundwater to minimize te release of toxics. Systems are also prevent ot minimize infiltration of rainwater or other surface water to minimize leachate which will require collection and treatment. Some lanffills create methane from the decomposition of waste under anaerobic conditions. This is gathered and burnt or used as a fuel to reduce the impact on greenhouse gas emissions.

Ultimately many landfills are covered with topsoil and grass or trees to become green space or playgrounds.
