In the way beggining, Pomeranians were bred as herding dogs. Their ancestors were originaly sheep herders, and larger in size. But once the Queen got ahold of them, she loved the breed, and shortend them down into the breed we all know today.
What dog is smarter the Jack Russell or mini schnauzer?
A Jack Russell is because a Schnauzer will bark their head off for no reason while a Jack Russell will be protective of their owner. My Jack Russell terrier has learned tricks in a day and whenever a storm is about to start he goes in a hiding place before it starts. Most Jack Russells are active but mine is so sweet, cute, and easy to love.

When purchasing a dog should you look for a papered purebred or a mixed breed?
It all depends on you.
All types of Dogs are lovely and make great companions. It all depends on the owners. It is to be believed that calm owners have calm dogs. Just like babies.
If it is important to you to have a papered puppy, do your research. Visit the A.K.C. OR the C.K.C. on line. Very informative. If you know what breed you are looking for these sites will provide you with all your questions. Do your research on the breeder as well. You are looking at spending a little money if you go this route.
If a mixed breed, all are lovely, they make great companions. Think about perhaps agility classes, all dogs like that. Visit your nearest SPCA. You don't have to spend a lot of money to adopt a dog.
AnswerIf you want a working dog pedigrees are definitely the way to go, or find a breeder and talk about it with them (it's never a bad idea to go to a GOOD breeder). If your looking for a companion animal go straight to the nearest shelter or humane society. Stay far, far away from puppy mills. The more business they get the longer they'll be around.
AnswerA dog trainer I met once told me that any dog can be trained to do just about anything. Clearly, though, some dogs are better suited for some jobs than others. You wouldn't get a Chihuahua if you wanted a guard dog, and you probably wouldn't like having a bloodhound retrieve ducks for you. Dog breeds are the result of years of breeding to "build" a dog that excels at a certain kind of work. That's why the American Kennel Club has so many different breeds registered. Working dogs, upland hunting dogs, retrievers, sight hounds, scent hounds..the list goes on. Just about any dog can be a great companion, but it's wise to seek a breed that suits you and your life. An elderly lady might not be happy trying to discipline a strong willed Akita, and an avid pheasant hunter would probably be disappointed with a Pekinese. Study up, learn about the breeds, and find a dog that suits you and your life. Mongrels can be great dogs, but a pedigreed Gordon Setter will probably be a better companion for a grouse hunter than a pit bull. The choice is yours. The options are many. Study up, choose with care, and have fun. And IF you choose to get a pedigreed dog, get one from a breeder who is trying to improve the breed, not make money. They'll still want to be paid a fair price, but the ones you want will give a health guarantee as well as a healthy dog with all it's shots, etc. They also know the breed very well, and can give you a lot of good information about diet, training, behavior and so on. NEVER buy a dog from a pet store. Typically, they get their dogs from the puppy mills the previous person mentioned, and you can easily find yourself with a sick, neurotic dog on your hands. Getting a stray from a pound is a wonderful thing to do..but choose very carefully, especially if you have children. Good luck. Choosing the breed you want is half the fun, I think.
I'd agree with all above, and add again it all depends on you, your family size, the living area, your budget, your time.
Answer
I think both are fine dogs mixed breed dogs often live longer then purebred dogs and are as sweet as a purebred but purebreds are sometimes better at training and are better in dog shows so it is really up to which ever one you like most.
What is the difference between a long-haired chihuahua and a pomeranian?
The Pomeranian and the chihuahua are worlds apart in difference. The chihuahua belongs to the southern pariah clade of dogs, and the pomeranian belongs to the northern spitz clade of dogs. both come from completely opposite sides of the planet!
Chihuahuas are New World dogs genetically. Their origing is surrounded in mystery, but their ancestors were among the dogs and wolves that came to the New world with nomadic tribes, and eventually got to looking their way among the Aztecs, Toltecs and Mayans. Black Chihuahuas were especially prized as agents of the spirit world. It was a black dog's job to guide a man's spirit through the trials and journey of the underworld. That dog was the chihuahua and its ancestor the techichi. They may look like refined, fragile little lap dogs, but the are tough dogs with a very ancient outlook on life, though they seem to remember that they were once prized and sort of worshipped.
Pomeranians are the smallest dogs in the spitz family. They are actually very far removed from wolves, but they were bred to work in the cold environment of Northern Europe. The Pomeranian was directly bred down from the german spitz into its current size. They were prized as lap dogs and sleeve dogs for the rich. Pomeranians look tough but they are much more fragile than a chihuahua.
To understand the difference between a long haired chiahuahua and a pomeranian, you first need to look at the dog's proportion. Chihuahuas are "cobby" a term which means that their legs (hip to ground and shoulder to ground) are slightly shorter than the length of their spine. They look like a rectangle in profile. Pomeranians are "short-backed" which means that their legs are the same length or longer than their spine. in profile, they look square.
Look at the bone structure. Pomeranians have much heavier bone structure compared to an identically sized chihuahua. Pomeranians looks sturdy. Chihuahuas look gracile.
Look at the head in proportion to the body. A Pomeranian's head should look in proportion to the rest of the body. Chihuahua heads tend to look a bit big for their body. Chihuahuas have a domed skull, pomeranians do not, although this can be hard to tell with the massive amount of fuzz they can have up top. Chihuahua eyes tend to be larger in proportion to the head than a similarly sized pom.
Chihuahuas may have a molera, or soft spot, on their heads similar to the way human babies do. Pomeranians never have this feature. And is it any wonder? Chihuahuas have the biggest brain to body proportion of any other dog. all that brain still needs to be born safely, after all. Pomeranians have a foxy face, which is sort of wedge shaped.
Pomeranian ears are "erect" Chihuahua ears are "bat" Pom ears are always held high, they are not as big, and they are not as rounded as a chihuahua's ears. When a dog's ears are at rest, take a look at the triangle between the tips of the ears and the point of the nose. A chihuahua forms an equilateral triangle. a pom is more accute.
Look at the tail. Poms carry their tail high over the back or curled. Chihuahua tails are sickle shaped. Chihuahuas have full range of motion in their tails, much more wolflike, where it can curl into a sickle but also curl under or sideways with ease. The tail is not always carried high. Pom tails are much stiffer. They do not bend as easily as a Chihuahua's tail.
Now feel the dog. Chihuahuas can have double coats that are very fluffy, and poms can have coats that are very flat, but you are feeling for the texture of the guard hair. Poms have a coarse outer coat that is stiff to the touch and very dense. It should be a little difficult to feel all the way down to the skin of the dog. Chihuahua outer coats are soft, fine and silky and sometimes curly especially around the mane and fringes. It should be very easy to feel the skin of the dog through the fur. In chihuahuas the mane and the fringes on the ears and behind the forelegs, and the pants on the back legs tend to be longer than the rest of the fur. The chihuahua tail is also a banner of even longer soft fur. Pomeranian fur tends to be the same length all over. Pomeranians tend to blow their undercoats once or twice a year. Chihuahuas do not, they shed all the time.
BUt despite all the differences it can be hard to tell due to sometimes poor breeding. Both dogs are meant to be 2-6 pounds, (1-2kg), both dogs can come in any color, both have the same popular colors of fawn, sable, black and tan, brindle, merle, solid color, piebald. Chihuahuas are healthier overall and longer lived by 2 years on average. Pomeranianas tend to be more timid.
No, they are actually increasingly popular, and therefore common.

How much does it cost for residential lawn care?
That would depend on lawn size, accesibility( for equipment, parking ect) and what a company performs as standard work for each company and what is considered as optional. In Chicago expect to pay roughly around 20 per week( 80 per month ) minimum typical small Chicago home, corner home around 35 per week min.

Do teacup Pomeranian have health problems?
Yes, and that is because there is no such thing as a "teacup" pomeranian. So-called teacup dogs are really the result of runt dogs, who are generally weaker and of poor health to start, bred to create a smaller animal. As a result, pups are plagued with problems and are extremely fragile, often dying from easily preventable accidents around the house.
Remember, poms are small anyway (4-6 pounds), so there really isn't a need to go smaller than that! If you're interested in a pom, know that they are great dogs to have, very friendly and playful, and that there are plenty of reputable breeders that can point you in the right direction to a healthy, happy pup. Apotion from shelters or a rescue is another great way to go, too.
