In very early pregnancy, yes. The reason it is recommended to take the test in the morning is because the hCG levels are more concentrated in the urine then, and can be more readily detected. So if it is in the first weeks of pregnancy, the level can go undetected.

The hormone HCG decreases during your 3rd trimester and is fairly low by the time you give birth (This is part of what starts labor). By 2 months after birth, the hormone has completely left your system. So....a positive test at this time would indicate that you are pregnant again. There has been known to be false positives, so get a blood test to be sure. And if this is what you want, may I say congratulations!

If you know for sure that you are pregnant, it is probably not going to be your period, although some women have experienced a "first" period then learns a couple of weeks later that they really are pregnant. It is possible that it could be implantation bleeding caused by the fertilized egg to attach itself to the uterine wall. Or it could be a cervical change that can cause vaginal bleeding. Vaginal bleeding can also be a symptom of ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. For the best results you should wait until you are at least a day late for your period. If you get a negative result, wait a week for your period to start, if it doesn't take another test. Yes it is possible. I am now 5 weeks pregnant and the first test I took came out negavtive and i didnt understand why b/c i had all the symptoms, even implantation bleeding. I went to the doc a few days later and it came out positive. Good Luck!

Hi If the blood test you had performed was called - Quantitative Beta Hcg - then you are not pregnant. If the blood test was called - Qualiative Beta Hcg - then it is possible you could be pregnant and tested too early. In this case return to your doctor in two weeks for a re-peat blood test.

Yes, you should wait at least Til your missed period.

Yes there is a possibility for a negative test to be positive for two simple reasons: A. The test isn't dectecting the baby hormone simply because it may be to soon or B: the test is defective. Either way if you are in doubt you can go to your Local Health Department for a more precise test such as Blood or simply make a doctor's appt.
