Career Opportunities
Nursing is the largest health-care occupation and one of 10 occupations projected to have the largest numbers of new jobs annually through 2010. Opportunities should be excellent for nurses with advanced education and training. In addition, the number of older people, who are much more likely than younger people to need nursing care, is projected to grow rapidly. As nursing positions expand beyond the traditional hospital nursing roles, nurses have increased options and flexibility. In today’s integrated health-care networks, nurses may rotate among employment settings. Facilities or areas in which nurses typically are employed include:

How is correlation used when studying history?
a correlation is a pattern relating to two subjects used in comparison.
if two subjects show a correlation, they are linked, and show a pattern.
if they show a positive correlation, then as one rises, so does the other e.g. as the numbers of smokers increases, so does he number of people with lung cancer.
if there is a negative correlation, then as one rises, the other onefalls as a result. e.g. as the number of people in rehab increases, the number of drug abusers descreases.
sorry for using such unpleasnts topics but you understand now? good =]
this could easily be applied to history just look for a pattern in events.
there is a positive correlation between the number of German soldiers and the number of british soldiers killed during the war. this is because as the number of british soldiers killed rose, so did the numbers of German soldiers killed.
could someone please give anotehr example? though my description of correlation is correct the example is a bit poor. sorry im not a histoy person =[

Importance of pseudo-psychology to the study of psychology?
Pseudo-psychology is an important term to learn for the psychology student as well as the general public. Pseudo-psychology pertains to such things as advertisements that make untestable claims as to make their product seem more efficient than it actually is. While it may do no physical or psychological harm most times, people unknowningly give money to these businesses because of claims made in their ads.
It is important for the student to realize that pseudo-psychology is out there, and can give psychology a bad name. Eventually the general public figures out that whatever claim a business made using pseudo-psychology is false, and then starts to think that psychology itself is untrustworthy. Psychologists need to be careful in their experiments and report data that is truthful, or this will only add to public beliefs that psychology is not a real science.
