You only have to be 18. But you have to be 21 to drink in the brothel.
Reno is a city in west central Nevada, about 10 miles from the California-Nevada border.
The driving distance is about 245-275 miles. Since there is sometimes more than one route, including back roads, this is an approximate but accurate distance. It is based on the most well-known routes between these two locations.
The driving distance between Bend, OR and Reno, NV is approximately 390 miles. The driving time would be approximately 7 hours 30 minutes if you were to travel non-stop in good driving conditions. (The driving time does not take into consideration conditions which may extend trip time such as weather, road work and rush hour traffic in urban areas.)
its Carson City because it is actually westerner than San Diego
Yes it is. Reno is in the northern part of Nevada, which extends farthest west, and Los Angeles is in the southern part of California, which curves east. So Reno is north-northwest of Los Angeles.
The simple answer is NO. The Rockies do not encompass any portion of Nevada. The Major Range is the Sierra Nevada's that are more closely linked to the Siskiyous and they in turn are linked to the cascades. The closet area that the Rockies could be linked to is in the eastern most portion of the state through the great basin area but here again they are not linked.
From out at sea Spanish sailors gazed upon the beautiful mountain ranges of California. They called these mountains Sierra Nevada (snowy range). Sierra Nevada seemed an apt name for the new territory that was being carved out of Utah, but when the deed was done in 1859, the name of this new territory had been shortened to Nevada. As far back as 1857 many names were used to refer to the area that became Nevada, IE: Sierra Nevada Territory; Washoe Territory; Carson Territory; Eastern Slope; Humboldt; Esmeralda; Sierra Plata; Oro Plata and Bullion. But in 1864 the land emerged as "Nevada" a Spanish word meaning snow-covered.
You ask to much for even the best of tour guides and you should order several of the excellent New Mexico and Santa Fe guides that are available from the state at no cost. Santa Fe's artist colony is a major draw and the dining and accomodations are a draw in their own right. Here are just a few basics:
16th Street Mall is closed to traffic and is a walking mall. It is fun to walk, browse, and eat there, if you are downtown. There are some typical sites here... a zoo, an aquarium, and two amusement parks. Those are always fun to do with the family. There is a railroad museum that is cool. Casa Bonita is just north of Denver but is popular with tourists... they have gift shops and cliff divers inside the restaurant. Downtown is the Brown Palace Hotel. The restaurant there is also popular with tourists (food is better, less entertainment, very much more expense). The convention center usually has interesting stuff going on... car shows, conventions of all sorts. The Denver Mint is cool. The Molly Brown house is interesting (Molly Brown was a survivor of the Titanic). The Denver Center Theatre downtown puts on all sorts of shows, from Broadway hits that are coming through town to original shows. Excellent stuff. Red Rocks ampitheater is a good place to see a concert... open air natural concert setting near Denver.
The approximate driving time and mileage information -
Between: San Francisco, CA
and: Reno, NV
Driving miles: 220
Driving time: 3 hrs 30 mins
- is based on traveling non-stop in good driving conditions. Driving time does not take into consideration conditions which may extend travel time such as weather, road work, border crossings, and rush hour traffic in urban areas. Mileage denotes actual road miles covered as opposed to Point A to Point B linear distances on a map.
The geographic distance from Oakland to Reno is 178 miles. The drive from Oakland to Reno is 213 miles, but can be quite a pain if there's traffic. If you instead head through Antioch and up I-5, it can often be quicker, but it's also 20 miles longer.

Yes, both Reno and Carson City are west of San Diego. I am from both Reno and San Diego. When you live in either city you think they are in the same location on the map because when you drive up and down highway 395 it feels like you are driving straight south or north when in reality you are heading south and east or north and west. (sorry about the long sentence)
Well i kno for a fact that street glow can not be used while driving but if you are parked it is ok... 5" exhaust is also illegal... Anything that is proven to be over 545 bhp is considered to be illegal but it is really hard to control that so its cool. Basically dont go over board on your car. If you have to ask if its illegal just dont do it.
No, as you have to have Nevada residency, even if a US citizen. Look up divorce dude ranches.
I know that the Sierra Nevada was formed from tectonic activity. I also know that when Mt. Pluto errupted, it "clogged" the Tahoe basin, causing the Truckee River to fill the valley and become Lake Tahoe.
Spokane is in the very eastern edge of Washington while Reno is in the western part of Nevada. Spokane is nearly directly north of Reno. However, Reno is about 2 degrees longitude west of Spokane.
