What are some arguments for or against raising the legal driving age to 18 or higher?
Many advocate raising the driving age to 18 and raising the age at which a driver can have a passanger to even higher than that. The idea is that since most fatalities are caused by drivers under 24 and most of them are among drivers under 18, raising the driving age would lower the traffic fatalities. Let's face it, younger drivers are more likely to be irresponsible behind the wheel especially when they have friends in the car with them. Who do you think would be more likely to participate in a street race; A 17 year old or a 35 year old?
Okay see ur point but 35 year olds have usaully been driving since they were 16-17 so they should have more expirence and maturity 17 year olds have just started they will gain expirence.
Raising the Legal Driving age does seem like a decent idea, but raising the minimum driving age doesn't necessarily mean our young drivers on the road will drive better. It will just make our casualties involving ages 18 rather than 16. Raising the driving age is a good idea, because kids are more likely to participate in street races, but if we're looking to see better driving, perhaps a good idea would be to raise the standards in our driving test, and to re-take the test every licence renewal. Personally, I was surprised and dissapointed how easy the test was to get my permit when I turned 15.

What is the recommended tire pressure for low profile tires?
(one view) : The same as for any other tire you install on this vehicle. Listed in the owner's manual and on the driver's door post.
On all tires, on the side wall of the tire there is the dimensions of the tire as well as the recommended tire pressure for the front and the back tire, on low profile tires the max PSI is 45 lbs
(another view):
Manufacturer recommended tyre pressures are ONLY for the size and specification of the tyres fitted as standard as well as vehicle weight loading. Some vehicles are fitted with low profile as standard but if your tyres/wheels are different dimensions the recommended pressures will vary. Low profile tyres generally require higher pressures than taller sidewall types. Recommended pressure also takes average vehicle weight and speed into account and are given as "cold" pressures. If you carry heavy loads, tow or travel mainly on highway speeds these will be covered in your car owner manual or dealer advice. If you are on non-standard rubber then check with a tyre specialist.
Not all modern tyres have MAX pressure marked on sidewall anymore as this was misleading and could cause improper overinflation resulting in an accident and thus liability for the tyre manufacturer.
Why does a speeding car skid when brakes are applied suddenly?
it creats a flat spot on your tire which makes it skid easy, like a sled. When your driving in snow or ice, don't slam on your brakes, just tap them over and over again and let go of the accelarator, and hold the steering wheel tight.

No, insurance will not pay if your parents have not placed you on the policy yet. You may also want to check your state laws.
Having a 16-year-old daughter makes me a good source of info on this topic.
Good luck to you.
Actually, it depends on your carrier. Most parents add their children to their insurance when the kids get learners permits. Depending on your parents' policy, there may be an exclusion for not having an adult in the vehicle with you. Or there may not be. And, here's the fun part: Even if there is an exclusion, and you decide to drive the car without an adult parent and get into an accident, most courts would not uphold the exclusion. One, first party coverage (i.e., to pay for the damages to your parents' car) is pretty hard to deny; and, two, third party -- or liability -- coverage is difficult to deny by an insurance carrier because it would place your parents in too much jeopardy (getting sued, etc). Still, unless you want a huge hassle before you even get a license, don't risk it.
When does state law require a parent to add their 16 year old child with a learners permit to their auto policy?

Why does a car move away more easily on dry road than wet?
a car itself is pretty heavy, all the weigt of it is equally divided by the four wheels. A tire of a car has carves in it to make it have more grip on the road. The cars' weigt and the grip it has on the road combined is what a car keeps from slipping on a dry road
when the road is wet it has less grip on the road but still the same weigt. so when your driving the kinetic energy caused by the speed of the car and the weigt can cause the car to slip.
i hope this is a good answer for you but i know i have made alot of writing errors.
Do emotions or fatigue has a decreased awareness of the road?
Fatigue definitely does. If your tired, your focus is no where near as sharp as if you were fully alert. As for emotions, you could miss out something important if you are angry/frustrated.
