How long does it take cargo ship to come from south Korea to England?
In most cases, there's no direct service. You'd have to take a ship from NYC through the Panama Canal to the U.S. west coast, then go across the Pacific with a possible stop in Hawaii. Since this would involve combining the offerings of various cruise lines, or possibly shipping companies that also carry a limited number of passengers, the total time might be quite variable. A bare minimum would be about 12-14 days if everything connected just right, but reality would almost certainly be much longer -- due to stopovers. Some cruise lines (e.g., Cunard) offer round-the-world cruises that might cover that particular routing. It's often possible to book shorter segments such as the trip you are describing. However, availability, routing, and travel times again would be highly variable.

How long it would take to sail from Argentina to Panama?
You could do it in about 10 weeks. The first part from Buenos Aires to Angra dos Reis, would take about 3 weeks, with stops in Punta del Este and Florianapolis. From then on it really depends on where you want to stop, you could go to Joao Pessoa and from there to Salvador in another 3 weeks, and count 10 days from there to Chaguaramas. Then it`s hard to estimate as you will be sailing along the cost of Venezuela and then the ABC before Panama. Call it another 3 weeks reallistically.

Most major cruise lines don't cruise directly from Florida to Jamaica for logistics reasons... There's usually a stop before that. The cruise however (direct) from Miami to Ocho Rios would take approximately two days at sea (hence the stop at an on-the-way port like Roatan). Happy cruising!
How long to sail across the Atlantic Ocean in the eighteenth century?
In 1898, the Komonder Sved Foyu made the passage from New York to London in 20 days.
------------------------
1898 was at the end of the 19th century (not the 18th as asked in the question), a time when trans-Atlantic ships were frequently steamships or combination of steam and sail. The first steamship crossing of the Atlantic was in 1819 and took just under a month. (SS Savanah). Steam or steam/sail were significantly faster and more reliable than the sailing ships of the 18th century had been. Trans-atlantic crossings in the late 1890s in a steamer usually took 7 to 10 days in the more recent passenger ships.
In the 18th century (1700-1799) all trans-Atlantic crossings were by sail only. I have read that 2 to 4 months was average - varying by season and by direction (sailing east was faster than sailing west).
-----------------------
Svend Foyu was a Norwegian shipping magnate who made his fortune in whaling - specifically due to his use of harpoon cannons with exploding harpoons.
I am unable to discover whether the "Komonder Sved Foyu" mentioned in the original response to this question was connected with Svend Foyu nor whether it was a sailing boat, sail/steamer, or steamer only.
What was the procedure to get through Ellis Island?
Part of the Ellis Island experience was the steps, a physical examination (that lasted an average of six seconds), and the ability to answer 29 questions.
The Steps: After claiming their baggage on the ground floor of Ellis Island, potential immigrants had to carry their bags up the "great staircase" to the second floor, where the medical exams were performed. This was done intentionally -- anyone who appeared to have trouble climbing the steps drew the attention of the doctors.
The exam: On average, the medical exam took six seconds, with several doctors participating. Those who had difficulty with the steps drew extra attention. If the doctors determined that the immigrant had a physical problem, a symbol was drawn on their clothes with chalk. (see the link for the symbols)
The questions: Potential immigrants then had to answer 29 questions before being allowed into the United States. The questions all pertained to their "value" as a potential citizen.
What's your name?
What's your occupation?
Where is your final destination?
Do you know anyone there?
How much money do you have with you?
If everything went right and our incoming immigrant had no difficulties with the physical exam or the questions, he/she would be on Ellis Island for three to five hours.

How long does it take a boat to go from the US to Britain?
The westerly winds make this somewhat faster than from the UK to the US.
It depends on the type of boat or ship. The ancient sailing ships took between three weeks and three months depending on the prevailing winds, and a lower range of about two weeks would apply to sailboats using the most direct routes.
In the 19th century, steamships cut the time to less than two weeks. Modern cruise ships, cargo ships, tankers, and container ships can transit the Atlantic in as little as 6 or 7 days, averaging 20 to 25 knots. But slower ships can still take 2 or 3 weeks to reach various destinations in Europe.
