It all depends on what you believe. For some people who don't believe Satan exists, they'll tell you nothing will happen. For Catholics (and probably other religions, I just know it's in catholicism as a fact) you will have summoned satan, brought him into your life. And I don't know to what degree, but I'm sure they'd tell you that to a certain degree it would hurt your relationship with God. Basically it's only about what you believe. Like with "summoning God" into your life, no one can absolutely prove or disprove the phenomina that occurs, and if any of it's even out of the ordinary.

The Bible reveals that the "spirit realm" is very real, and isn't to be "played with." Man's "failure to believe" in this area has resulted in both his ignorant decision to treat it as a form of "entertainment," as well as the decision of others to "ignore" it altogether... thus leaving both factions open to "possession."

I'm not sure what a "satanic chant" might be... but in your house or on the street... consciously calling to him and/or his demons, or a basic ignorance of the Truth of God regarding this invisible power leaves people open to influences by certain "principalities" that are beyond human comprehension, recognition and control.

You don't have to "believe" in it for it to affect you. In fact... if you don't believe it... you may be more susceptible to its forces than if you do.

Jesus Christ cast out many a demon from people who were basically clueless as to what was happening to them. Those demons [unclean spirits] didn't die, and have remained in the world affecting all the generations of man since.

Calling or chanting to these spirits is an "invitation" to them to come into your mind... and your house. "Haunted houses" aren't the form of entertainment people think they are. What's there isn't "human."

The Bible reveals that these spirits "obeyed" Christ: "...they were all amazed... for with authority commandeth He even the unclean spirits, and they do obey Him." (Mark 1:27)

Calling and inviting unclean spirits to yourself is an evil pursuit that can only lead to ruin. It's best to cry out to and invite Jesus Christ in, if you possess any spiritual awareness at all.

Unbelief is the more dangerous situation... being ignorant of the fact that the spirit realm is constantly at work and on the move.

Believe God's Word. Seeking "other gods" is forbidden by our Creator. He commands it "for our own good."

"Thou shalt keep therefore His statutes, and His Commandments... that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth..." (Deut.4:40).

Consciously inviting unclean spirits is mostly a matter "not believing" what God's Word instructs. The "god of this modern computerized world" has passed much of it off as "superstitious nonsense"... so it's accepted by many a non-believer as "good fun." "Splatter, horror and possession" films are always a draw at the box office.

A "believer" can defend himself, on the other hand. His defense is the name of Jesus Christ. The spirit realm believes in and obeys Jesus Christ. They "tremble" around Him [James 2:19].

"...behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? Art thou come hither to torment us before the time?" (Matt.8:29)

There is no room in a human mind where the Holy Spirit dwells. No man can serve two masters.

So, if you insist on playing a "satanic chant" in your house, one of two things will happen. If you're lucky... nothing will happen. If you're not... something will.

No, absolutely NOT. The six-pointed Star of David has never been considered a Satanic symbol. In fact, the mainstream Judeo/Christian understanding of this symbol has always been quite the opposite. Even as far back as the early Middle Ages, both before and after the Crusades, the vast majority of common Christian believers (and even Jews) believed the Star of David symbol had the supernatural power to defend and protect against evil spirits (at least for those who trusted in it). Because these so-called Magicians made it a point to utilize the Star of David in their own personal Black Magick rituals and operations, the symbol's reputation did eventually take a nose-dive .Alas, the original God-fearing understanding about the Star of David's power as a righteous emblem of goodness and Divine mercy began to change for the worse. The traditional teachings that the Star of David help to protect Judeo/Christian believers from the dark forces of the Devil soon became warped and twisted beyond recognition. To state that the Star of Moloch is in fact the Star of David, is the worst kind of Scripture twisting imaginable, and is akin to saying that anyone who wears a brown shirt and brown slacks is a Nazi, because the Nazis wore brown shirts. The most common rules of witchcraft are that whatever you send out, comes back threefold to you, so if you bind someone, against their will, you may be forced to do 3 things against your will.

It is highly not recommended to do any type of spell against someone's will.

The best and most effective way to do any love spell is to do a generic love spell in which your true love will find you. It may not be the person you originally hoped for, but it will be the way destiny has decreed.

A Pagan Perspective

First, to answer your specific question; yes, binding spells, including binding love spells do work.

Second, as stated above there are a few things to consider before you undertake this sort of thing.

- Are you sure you know what you are doing?

A binding spell removes the option of free will from the one being bound. This is the magical equivalent of kidnapping and forcible confinement (If there is sex involved it is magical rape). Are you sure you want that responsibility and negative karma on your soul? If you still want to go ahead with this spell, do you have ALL of the necessary research done, materials gathered, times figured to the minute, and spell written down? Do NOT use a pre-made, found in a book somewhere spell, if you are serious about this you must do the "homework" yourself.

-What are your true motivations?

Is this a spell you are planning to draw someone that does not feel attracted to you? If so, see above concerning kidnapping, forcible confinement and rape.

Is it for someone (a celebrity) you do not know? If so, see above and think carefully about what you are planning, nice as it might seem just now, binding yourself to someone you do not know well is just plain foolish.

Is this designed to bind you and your girl/boy friend together for eternity because you really think you love one another? The binding of two souls for that long is really not advisable as people change, not just the other person, but you as well. The things you "love" right now will be of less importance in the future and being bound to someone is a far reaching thing.

Is this designed to be part of a handfasting or marriage ceremony? If so, then take a good look at the wording of most such ceremonies. Handfastings are worded "As long as the love shall last." and Christian marriages are worded "Till death do us part." Do you really want to bind yourself to someone for eternity?

- Could this be harmful to anyone? The "Threefold Rule" generally governing the use of magics states "That which you send out will return to you threefold." If you hurt someone else, you will be subject to three times the harm in your own life.

- What will you do when you change your mind? Reversing or breaking a binding spell is extremely difficult, time consuming, and takes an awful lot of your personal power to do it. And you will have to do it or you will leave a wounded soul alone for eternity and at the same time your own soul will be equally bound to that damaged soul.
