What type of pathogen causes scabies?
Scabies is not caused by a pathogen. Scabies is an infestation of the skin with the microscopic mite Sarcoptes scabei.Infestation is common, found worldwide, and affects people of all races and social classes. Scabies spreads rapidly under crowded conditions where there is frequent skin-to-skin contact between people, such as in hospitals, institutions, child-care facilities, and nursing homes. Prolonged skin-to-skin contact is required to spread scabies (handshakes will not spread it). Sharing clothes with someone who has scabies can spread it, and it can also very easily be spread to sexual partners.
Can you get scabies off of someone's clothes?
Yes, scabies can be transmitted through direct contact with infested clothing or bedding. The mites that cause scabies can survive outside the human body for a short period, typically up to 48 to 72 hours on clothing. However, the primary mode of transmission is through prolonged skin-to-skin contact with an infested person. To prevent transmission, it's important to wash infested clothing and bedding in hot water and dry them on high heat.
SEE YOUR DOCTOR ASAP! This could be a virus or bacterial infection in your lungs or you need new or updated medication. If your sPO2 levels are as low as 80 you need to see someone soon. That should be no lower than 95.
I think I have had these before and they do reoccur. I am not positive about what they are or what causes them, but when you pop them a clear fluid drains out and they seem to dry up. Even if you dont pop them they usually disappear. I have only seen them on my fingers and nowhere else. A doctor told me it was eczema, but I dont believe this is so...they are small and usually isolated....on occasion I have had a small grouping of them form. They are also usually only on the sides of my fingers and not hand or palm. I dont think they are harmful...probably a pore or sweating problem. I would like to know what it is and if you can treat it though.
They might be blackheads. If you wash your body with oil-free cleanser, eat healthy foods, drink plenty of water, and don't try squeezing them, they should decrease in number. Visit a dermatologist to get more information or a prescription.
if you shave down there, they are usually in-grown hairs... just clean reguarly
That sounds exactly like what I've been dealing with! It is as though something is biting around the belly button. Could it be something getting out rather than getting in?? Argh!
Um, well that's not really a answer ! I have the same thing going on- maybe sometype of beetle bug bite. They are red and sore and go through phases of size it seems. It sucks!
If you keep trying to grow out your facial hair, but find the itch is horrendous, do not shave it. The best idea to prevent the itch is to apply a good soothing facial lotion every day.
Use of a good hair conditioner on your facial hair will help soften the hair as well.
What could be the cause of a prickly feeling on fingers and toes when getting in or out of the pool?
Could have something to do with nerve damage because when you submerge yourself in water whether it be cold or hot, your blood vessels constrict or contract and therefore affect your nerves. Keep a log of when this happens and what your doing and had been doing and go see your doctor.
ANSWER::
If this is your pool TURN OFF THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS TO THE POOL AND LIGHT RIGHT NOW !!!!!! This includes pool lights or lighting, pool pump etc. Once that is accomplished, do what you normally do at the pool to see if you can duplicate the situation. If you cannot duplicate then the problem most likely lies in the electrical systems of your pool environment. Leave the power off to these places and call a qualified electrician to troubleshoot. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE OR LET ANY ONE ELSE USE YOUR POOL UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS SUFFICIENTLY CORRECTED.!!! You have stray voltage leaking to the pool shell in some manner. Do this today oops this is a holiday then Tuesday.
k
i guess you do have a problem. that's scary. go see a docter jezzzz
Can a human pass Sarcoptic mange to another dog?
There are 2 types of mange mites that infect dogs. There is the demodex mange mite, which normally attacks dogs that are down in their immune system for some reason such as bad food, starving, disease, any stress. It is not passed from one dog to another. Then there is the Sarcoptic mange mite (often called the red mite) and it is very contagious from one dog to another & also to humans. You need to take your dog in to be checked out by your Veterinarian who will do skin scrapings to see if your dog has mange mites & if so, what type they are. Get it treated by your Veterinarian. Humans can also get the sarcoptic mange mite too. We all carry to some extent the Demodex mange mite, but our normal immune system keeps it under control. Do a skin scraping from the skin beneath your lower eyelids and check it under a powerful microscope, you might be surprised.
They are the same thing. Sounds like you need some anti-fungal cream or spray.
