It is not necessary to insert a hyphen into a name in order to find it in a search engine. Search engines neither differentiate between a hyphen or non hypenated words nor do between capital and lowercase letters.
You can, however, put quotes around your search terms, so that only those exact words appear in your search results. For example, "al-jazeera" to find only those search results with those two exact words.
