Typically, each congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses has at least one elder serving. Often there are several men who are serving as elders and they work together to assist the congregation.

However, in some areas the growth is occurring so fast, that there is a need for more elders.

Most states have an additional penalty or provisions of modifying the classification of a crime if a senior citizen is the victim. What qualifies as a "senior citizen" varies with the state, and there will be a separate definition that sets this out. These modifying laws are called "enhancements." They aren't crimes in themselves, but are provisions that can be applied to other crimes when the circumstances warrant. Probably the fact that there skin is getting wrinkly and has purple bruises all over it and the other fact that they are not as inerjetic and are not in controll of using the bathroom. in other words they feel embaresed that they have to where dipers.

If a loved one has to be put in a nursing home, make sure you visit them often, I have seen instanses where they have lain in their escrement for days. Most of the time it is not the fault of the cna's who care for them. Almost all nursing homes are under staffed. Most are privately owned and the only thing that matters to them is the money. I kept my father at home until 2 days before his death. My mom is now 81 and if something happens to her I will keep her with me where I know she will not be abused and neglected.

On the other hand, my best had to put here father in a nursing home because he became violent and terrified her children. I can understand that, but to put the people who cared for and loved you deserve better than most nursing homes.

They learn the same kinds of things that any normal person would learn, but mainly it depends on the location of their school, and who is teaching them.

They learn about Maths ( mostly basic's like adding and subtracting etc ), They have language lessons to learn English and also history about their country and what they can do in the future to imrpove it.

Depends what you mean by ugly. Do you mean clothes that you don't like yourself? If you're young you probably think old people's clothes are a bit odd, but doesn't it occur to you that they probably think the same about yours?

No matter what age you are, why not just accept that people are all different and we don't all want to look the same, as if we were wearing a uniform. A bit of individuality is fine and you're as likely to get this with old or middle-aged people as with young ones. Young people are often worried about looking different from their friends, so they tend to be rather conventional in their dress, eg if their friends all wear jeans they do likewise. Old people sometimes do the same, eg if their friends all wear a certain type of shirt or jacket they do the same.

Time to loosen up a bit and just accept that everyone has their own ideas about clothing and what's ugly to one person can be beautiful to another.

They try and explore new hobbies, the world and relax themselves. Generally, they're doing what they can to be happy before they reach the ends of their lives

an elderly care home is a friendly place where the elderly who cannot look after themselves get care and help

a residential care home is where you can get meals and care but can be independant

a nursing home is for the elderly who are more seriously effected and need constant care 24/7

This can vary from facility to facility. Ideally, all elderly care homes would be friendly and attentive. However, there have been many recent stories of elder abuse and neglect in the past few years, so you need to be vigilant in choosing the home you choose to send your aging parent to. Make sure you've met the staff, and have inspected a room or two. Talk with some of the residents (striking up a friendly conversation is no crime!) and get a feel of how they enjoy their time there. Ask about activities and meals and other features the home provides, and make sure you are careful to gage how communicative the staff is (you need them to be in constant communication with you, the senior's caregiver!). Alternatives to a home can also be looked into-- medical alerts at home care, etc.

My original answer that Medicaid covers funeral expenses still stands. This is a state by state thing. Some states do and some don't. Indiana Medicaid does pay for SOME funeral expenses; body burial and cremation. The Indiana Medicaid coverage for a body burial is insufficient to cover those costs.

Indiana recently raised their maximum for cremation. One cremation company based in Indianapolis will accept the Medicaid money and include an urn without any costs to the family.
