Miso soup is a Japanese soup that is served with nearly every meal in Japan. There are different varieties of miso soup depending on what kind of miso you use and what ingredients you mix it with.

Peeling potatoes while they are boiling is not recommended as you could be burned by the hot water and/or hot potatoes.

As for peeling potatoes before you boil them, it is not necessary. You can boil them first, cool them, and then peel them. It is easier to peel the potatoes after they have been boiled.

My mother-in-law called it "Belgium Beef Stew". It was made with beef, onion and beer. She coated the stew meat in some seasoned flour, then browned the meat in a heavy pot. She then added about 3 onions, sliced, then poured a bottle (or 2) of beer into the pan, simmering until the meat was tender. I prefer the taste of a darker beer in the stew, but it's tasty with all beer.

Unfortunatly there is not much that can be done in this case. Black pepper should be used in small amounts near the end of cooking as a final seasoning. Yes it is, but it does have a lot of pasta in it so can be a little more fattening than other soups.

There are a couple reasons. Just like making tea, you start with cold water because it is clearer. Hot water comes out of the tap foggy. The more important reason is that cold water doesn't immediately cook the proteins.(like blood in the marrow of the bones) It allows them to float to the top where you can then easily skim them off.
