Answer:

There are many disadvantages of being in the sun. Sunlight is harsh for your skin so a well moisturized face is a good idea before you go out side. Sleep gives time for your skin to relax after all the harsh sunlight.

What does sun tanning do to your body?

While indoor tanning is a cosmetic service, a well-known side effect of exposing the skin to ultraviolet (UV) light is the production of vitamin D. Emerging evidence suggests that there may be an epidemic of vitamin D deficiency in North America. Research also suggests that vitamin D plays an important role in maintaining good health. In light of this evidence, the Indoor Tanning Association believes that the health benefits of indoor tanning deserve further research.

Europeans started tanning indoors with sunlamps that emitted ultraviolet light as a therapeutic exercise to harness the positive psychological and physiological effects of UV exposure. Long before the first tanning facility was established in the United States in the late 1970s, the practice of visiting a "solaria" for the positive effects of UV light was widespread in Europe, particularly in the sun-deprived, northern countries. Although indoor tanning is considered a cosmetic exercise in the United States, the industry's roots are therapeutic, and many Americans do in fact visit tanning facilities for that purpose.

The science of photobiology, which studies the effects of light on life, was founded on studying the positive effects of sunlight. Indeed, the 1903 Nobel Prize for Physiology/Medicine was awarded to Dr. Niels Finsen for his work treating the disease lupus vulgaris with ultraviolet light. While the indoor tanning industry in the United States promotes its services for cosmetic purposes, the fact remains that exposing the skin to ultraviolet light is the body's primary means of producing vitamin D (which in turn is related to positive physiological effects). Exposure to UV light is also responsible for the production of endorphins and serotonin (which in turn is related to positive psychological effects).

Do sun tans go away?

It depends on skin type. People with skin type 1 will never NEVER get a tan. That's due to the red melanin their body produces (Skin type one is made of people with red hair, pale skin, light colored eyes). People with skin type 2-5 will tan and burn, but it's different for each skin type. For example, people with skin type 2 will burn easily, but it's very hard to obtain a tan. So eventually, when the burns go away, they should begin to tan. People with skin type 5 will have maybe minor burns and have a nice tan immediately afterwards. So yes, everyone from skin type 2-5 will receive a minor to major tan even after they have a sunburn.

And swimming is absolutely wonderful when pregnant -- nothing in the world better for your tired back and stomach muscles!

How can you make tan paint darker?

You would have to add a darker color, or take it to a paint store and have them add colorant. Trying to change paint from its original mixed formula is not a good idea. All paint brands require different formula's for the same colors. So if you were to try and change a color from its original formula by adding a different color of paint, it would be impossible to match the new color if you were to run out before finishing.

Can tanning beds kill scabies?

Tanning beds do not kill scabies. Scabies is caused by a mite that burrows into the skin, and while UV light can affect some microorganisms, it is not an effective treatment for scabies. The most effective way to treat scabies is through prescribed topical treatments or oral medications from a healthcare professional. Using tanning beds for this purpose is not recommended and could lead to other health issues, such as skin damage or increased risk of skin cancer.
