Supercross= usually races inside stadiums, unless it takes place at a speedway, like at the Daytona supercross. Supercross utilizes a single race format, meaning one final moto. To get to this final moto, the riders must qualify through a series of heat races. Supercross is fast, tight and technical. They have big jumps and rythem sections. Motocross= Motocross races are held on tracks that are permanent, meaning, it isn't torn down after every race, like a supercross track is. The track is longer, wider, and most of them have natural terrain. A lot of outdoor tracks have hills and tricky sections, like sand or off camber corners. They have some big jumps. Motocross uses a 2 moto format. Like supercross, a rider must qualify through a series of heat races.

Like I said before the motocross series uses a 2 moto format. The winner is determined with the best overall score.

Arenacross tracks are smaller than Supercross tracks. Supercross events are usually held on baseball fields, and Arenacross tracks are usually held on basketball courts.

the yz 85 is has a faster top speed: yz 85: 140km/h cr 85: 110km/h but the cr85 has a broader powerband. overall the yz is better though myself i ride a kx85

Scientists and engineers have puzzled over this phenomenon for many years, but only recently did a group of scientists (Stephen W. Morris of the University of Toronto and Nicolas Taberlet and Jim N. McElwaine of the University of Cambridge) actually perform controlled studies on how washboarding forms. The result of their studies showed that even with the most regular of dirt/sand surfaces, there are irregularities in the road that cause the wheel to bump. As the wheel rises, it pushes some of the road grains ahead of itself, creating a small ridge. After the bump, the wheel strikes the road surface just a little harder than normal, causing the dirt/gravel to shift forward, creating a little dip and pushing some of the grit into new ridges, which the wheel then has to rise over--which causes the next bump, etc. etc. It doesn't take many passes by vehicles to get a long row of ridges, and your washboard is born. It isn't just hills, but curves, straight sections or any part of any kind of dirt road. There's nothing that can be done about this, except call the graders and smooth the road out again. And keep your shocks in good repair!

The 1977 Suzuki RM-80 was the first year true racing mini's. I remember rite out of the show room the RM-80 blowing away the TM-125's in my town. We had to ride on the street to get to woods in my town in Queens NY which was no worry because the RM-80 was faster than the Doge Aspen's that the NYPD were using at the time. My opinion the value would be- Mint condition- $2,500-3,000 down to restorable condition all parts present $350.00
