What kind of metal is a dirt bike motor?

Generally motorcycle blocks are made of either cast Iron, or Cast Aluminium. A lot of custom metals are available for the highest end race teams, but odds are if you run into a modern dirt bike, the block will be cast aluminium, the pistons will be a steel alloy, the crank will be either cast iron or a steel alloy, and the Connecting rods (between the pistons and the crank) will be either a steel alloy, or an aluminium alloy. Possibly titanium in various percentages in any or all components.

Older engines will be generally the same, but the block will be more than likely made of cast iron.

How do you put in new wheel studs on a 2000 Chevy cavalier?

1. Remove the wheel, caliper then rotor.

2. The factory studs are just a little too long to clear the steering knuckle without removing the hub. That is, without damaging them (the studs) a bit. If you are changing them, I assume they are already damaged so grab a hammer and a punch.

3. I managed to find replacement wheel studs that were a critical eighth of an inch shorted than the factory studs. With a couple of gentle hammer taps they can be coaxed through the back of the hub. A good way to get the studs all the way in is to put the lug nuts on backwards and tighten them all the way. This will pull the studs into right into their holes.

4. If you are replacing the studs with longer ones to accomodate a spacer or different rims or something like that, you're going to have to bite the bullet and remove the hub. Good luck.

Do you need a license for a 150cc moped?

Yes, and in fact in almost all states you will need a motorcycle license and not just a moped license, as a Moped is generally considered to be a cycle with a 50cc engine or smaller.

It also needs to be registered with the DMV and pass an inspection (some states do not require inspections, however - you'll need to check for yourself) AND you need to carry liability insurance to be able to LEGALLY ride it on the roads.

If you go to http://www.moped2.org/mstates.htm all the state moped drivers license requirements are listed.

I am looking for a new dirt bike but I cant chose out of a kawasaki 65 or 85 or a ktm 85 and what are the specs I need to know what one. i am getting 1 in 3 weeks. please answer soon i need to know?

I myself have a KTM 85 and love it. KTM is by far the best for little motocross bikes but is not a good beginners bike. The KTM is also bigger than the Kawasaki and overall a better bike. I would chose KTM 85 for someone 10 to 13 years old.

How do you adjust the clutch on your 1992 Suzuki RM80?

On the right side of the bike, follow the cable down to where the clutch case is. On top of this case, the cable enters into the clutch case. Right here there will be an adjuster, turn the one on the handle all the way in. Use the adjuster on the clutch case to get a rough estimate and then use the top adjustment to fine tune it.
