How can you fix your pool if it is a really dark green after putting chlorine in it yesterday?
um... i would have to say, empty the water (if you can) then clean the pool spotless. Make sure all the tubes (jets) and filter is cleaned out and spotless again. then fill it up with clean water. run it for a day or two and then add the chlorine or and other chemicals you want. (That's the best i can say) or get a new pool.

Does hard water require the use of more chlorine in a pool?
You just have to watch you pH and alkalinity levels and adjust at least weekly.
Do you turn your pump off to the swimming pool if it is freezing outside?
Assuming you live in an area where pools are winterized and shut down for winter, I would run filter for 45min - 1 hour per day. Be carefulk not to over sanitize the pool because chlorine (etc) demand is very low while water is so cold.
If you expect to experience freezing weather then do not turn your pump off. LEAVE YOUR PUMP ON. Moving water can not freeze. As water freezes there is expansion. This freezing/expansion can destroy your pump, filter and pipes.

Will the rate of pool water loss decline as water level goes down?
That depends on how violent the games are that are normally played in the pool. If you have children splashing about and jumping in the water constantly, you will tend to loose more water when the pool is very full. However if there is no particularly great amount of splashing happening and the loss is due to evaporation then it Will make no difference how full or empty the pool is.
Yes...any concrete grout will work.....you're better off regrouting though because chances are that the grout is sealed and the stain will only last one or two seasons.

How many gallons to fill a 21 ft round pool that is 6 ft in the middle?
The volume depends on the height. A one-foot deep pool six-feet in diameter would hold about 176 Imperial gallons (211 US gallons). Every extra foot high would hold the same amount again A pool two foot six inches deep would therefore hold 176 * 2.5 = 440 Imperial gallons or 211 * 2.5 = 528 US gallons.
What is so special about black-bottom pools?
Colored surfaces are basically an aesthetic choice by the owner of the pool. It is a myth that the darker the surface the warmer the pool. To illustrate, put a black plate and a white plate in the bottom of the pool. Remove them a few hours later and see if there is any temperature difference between them. There won't be. I've tried this. Water absorbs all the heat from the sun in the top 12 inches and never has a chance to reach the bottom. I have also monitored the temp. in white and black bottom pools that were next door to each other and had virtually identical conditions....no difference. Actually I have done this 3 times in the last 34 years to prove this point. Won a $500 bet on one them:-) Evaporative cooling is the single most important factor in pool temps. Every 7 mph of wind velocity doubles the evaporation rate.
How do you find radius of a circular swimming pool?
The diameter of a pool ball is 2 and 1/4 inch diameter. The radius of a pool ball is 1 and 1/8 inches. The radius is one half of the diameter.
Can algae cause the surface of a pool to be rough?
Yes, if there is a lot of it floating on the surface. Take a look at a ditch or shallow pond anytime from midsummer to fall; sometimes the entire surface will be covered with a green slimy layer of algae up to an inch thick.
What happens to pH when chlorine level is high?
Since most types of chlorine are very high in PH it may effect the over all PH of the water if it is not buffered.
Where can you find photos of black bottom swimming pools?
I did a basic Google search and found the site: Cheers.
Does the salt in saltwater pools deteriorate stone copings and waterfalls?
Possibly over time, but nothing you should notice for as long as you own the pool. You will however see a white residue on your nat. stone. This is caused by splash out. The water on the pool deck will evaporate, but the salt will not. This is easily cleaned up by hosing off the spots with tap water. If you do not clean them off in a timely fasion, it may cause excessive build up, which will have to be acid washed off.
Why are you not allowed to dive at pools?
Because some ponds are dirty and have fishes with diseases that cause illness and very high fever
Hope Imma correct ;) thanks for answering my question i know that its dumb but i was just puting random questions up here.
How many laps in a 25 yard pool is 5000 yards?
since 1 meter is equal to 1.094 yards, then one lap (one direction) in a 25 meter pool is really 27.35 yards. So then 500 yards at 27.35 yards a lap, you would need to complete a little more than 18 and a quarter laps (18.2815 to be more accurate).
What is the Minimum and maximum level of cynuric acid in the swimming pool water?
.03g/L or 30 ppm or 1 lb for 3800 gallons (14400 liters)
Most likely with an extreme amount of money and labor. Removing th epool completely and starting over are the most practical. You will never be able to level and secure the pool completely or to original specs. The pool should not have popped unless it was empty or nearly empty. Not a task that is easily undertaken even by those who build pools.

What different methods of swimming pool filtration are there?
Basically there are three different types of swimming pool cleaner any of these can be operated either manually i.e one switches the filtration system on manually at will. or automatically that is the switch is operated by a timer that is set to run the system for a period or periods of time over given period.
1 A very popular filtration systems in use today is the sand filter in this system water from the pool is forced through sand and then returned to the pool minus many of the impurity's that enter the pool from the air or bather activity. Sand was the original filtration medium used for this type of filtration however better medium for this type of filter are constantly being developed. this type of filter is cleaned by what is referred to as backwashing occasionally and some water in the pool is sacrificed to waste
2 another very popular system is the cartridge filter In this method water is run through a diaphragm that filters out impurity's one advantage with this type of filter is that to clean it you merely expose the filter cartridges and hose them down removing contaminants collected by it.
Diatamatious earth is based on the fossilized remains diatoms. water is forced through a layer of this material inside the filter this is the finnest type of filter, and will require more attention then the others as it will block up more rapidly. ---- Hayward makes all three types of filters listed above:

Is it easy to convert from a pool liner to inground concrete?
IT IS NOT ONLY NOT EASY IT IS NOT POSSIBLE.CONCRETE POOLS ARE A CONCRETE "TANK" AND GUNITE OR SOME SIMILAR MATERIAL USED AS A SUFACE COATING . THE TANK IS MADE FIRST OF STEEL REBARS THEN THE CONCRETE IS SHOT IN PLACE GIVING YOU A CONCRETE SHELL .TO DO THIS TO A VINYL POOL THE ONLY PART YOU COULD USE WOULD BE THE HOLE IN THE GRUOND THAT YOUR VINYL POOL IS SITTING IN.IF SOMEONE TELLS YOU THEY CAN DO IT ...CLOSE YOUR CHECKBOOK AND WALK AWAY --THATS FROM SOMEONE WITH OVER 20 YRS IN THE BUSINESS.
IS IT EASY TO BUILD A GUNITE POOL OUT OF A LINER POOL SHELL?
A licensed swimming pool professional builder can build a new pool inside of your old shell, of course your new pool will be around 1-1.5 feet smaller. Count on demo costs with the old pool shell also. You have options with any kind of remodel job, another reason for hiring a professional with a license.
So is it easy - yes, yes, But only if your the licensed swimming pool professional or you just hired one. getapool.com take care good swimming
Easy? No way. As a professional pool builder that has shot gunite pool shells inside existing vinyl liner pools, I can tell you that the job is actually harder than building a pool from scratch. If your just going to shoot inside the existing hole the pool will end up being smaller as stated above and shallower as well to accommodate for the 6 inches of gunite that will be added. All of the existing returns have to be cut back and extended to allow for this, the main drain should be dug up and replaced with a gunite drain, and the skimmer should be cut out and replaced with a gunite skimmer. the deck should be cut back, but alternately coping can be installed to line back up with the existing deck. The deck will have to be cut out around the vinyl skimmer to make way for the gunite skimmer replacement, I have seen people not replace the skimmer but this leaves a good place for a future leak, I wouldn't recommend it. The plastic steps will have to be removed as well. You may want the bottom dug out so it can be made deeper and larger as the hopper area on most vinyl pools are small and tapered. It's a job to say the least, but it is possible. Cost wise it will probably run more than a gunite pool from scratch. The only things you are using over is the deck, the hole, and the plumbing. For more information go to howtobuildaningroundpool.com
If you are tired of replacing your vinyl liners, why not check out fiberglass as an option. A new fiberglass surface can be applied to your pool, and you will get a much longer life out of it. You can read more at: http://www.advancedpoolcoatings.com
Should you drain your pool when it is about to overflow?
You should never completely drain an above ground pool. The chemicals in the vinyl liner that allow it to stretch when originally installed do not last. If you drain the water, the liner will shrink and when you refill the pool there is a good chance that instead of stretching back the liner will rip instead. NEVER drain your pool.
