GRand Unified Bootloader

GNU GRUB is a Multiboot boot loader. It was derived from GRUB, the GRand Unified Bootloader, which was originally designed and implemented by Erich Stefan Boleyn.

Briefly, a boot loader is the first software program that runs when a computer starts. It is responsible for loading and transferring control to the operating system kernel software (such as the Hurd or Linux). The kernel, in turn, initializes the rest of the operating system (e.g. GNU).

UNIVERSAL CONCEPT MENTAL ARITHMETIC SYSTEM

UCMAS - India offers Abacus Education to children of all sections, especially the economically backward families, The company has initiated action by starting training centres tying up with NGOs. World Vision, India was the first to come forward and through their program they had initiated Abacus Education to the children of ''Tsunami'' affected families in the Tamil Nadu Coastal towns post year-2004 and also at Patna & Vaishali.

Before India became the hub for Abacus and Mental Arithmetic education, with Chennai as the happening place, there were only a few countries who were engaged in this field and all of them were in the far-eastern belt. With India becoming the fort for UCMAS Abacus Mental Arithmetic program, now calling, India a Gateway for the program, is no exaggeration.

UCMAS - A Global Organization

UCMAS took its roots in Malaysia and with the collaboration of Zhusuan Association, China, constantly rose with increased representation in different countries. UCMAS today boasts of its presence in countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Brunei, UAE.,Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Nigeria, U.K., USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, apart from India. The batches of students who have completed all the 8 terms ( 24 months program) form testimony to the brilliance that the concept benefits to the children.UCMAS is the only programme approved and certified by the two major Mental Arithmetic and Abacus Institutes of the world, which are CHINESE UTILITY ABACUS RESEARACH SOCIETY (TAIWAN) AND TAIWAN MENTAL ARITHMETIC ASSOCIATION. Thousands of R & D professors in China and Japan concentrate on this project to train the students. UCMAS (Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic System) is a Chinese based Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Concept. Abacus, which was for long used as a calculating tool in China and many other East Asian countries, was found to do greater good to the children of the age group 4 - 13 years. In the latter part of the 20th century, it was found after extensive research that Abacus learning not only enhanced the arithmetic skills, but also enriched the soft skills like Concentration, Listening, Photographic Memory, Speed and Accuracy, leading to Creativity and Presentation skills, of children.
