The Aztec's empire or civilization lasted 900 years. Until the Spaniard , Hernán Cortés conquered , or defeated the Aztec's empire all because the ruler of the time , Moctezuma II ( the second ) thought Hernan Cortes was a winged serpent god name Quetzalcoatl. There was a theory that Moctezuma II thought Hernan Cortes ( or the fake Quetzalcoatl) was coming back to get his land according to a story Moctezuma II had heard previously. So all of a sudden, Moctezuma II gives his land to Hernan Cortes because he thinks hes the winged god. Hernan Cortes leaves with his army and comes back with his army again. Destroying the whole empire under Moctezuma II 's (stupid) foolish mistake.

Water was brought in via two terracotta aqueducts from the western hills of the valley.
