It naturally creates ozone (O3) from the oxygen (O2) in the air.

How does sound affect frequency?

The definition of sound is :

"Vibrations that travel through the air or another medium and can be heard when they reach a person's or animal's ear."

Sound can be measured by amplitude (loudness) and pitch (The frequency of the vibrations).

Therefore sound does not affect frequency but frequency affects the pitch of the sound.

Is it possible that when it is lighting and you are on the computer will the computer blow up?

yes my friend that is indeed correct, the electro currents pulse through the wires creating magnetic friction causing a convulsion within the computer..the convulsions are then sent through the human body through contact and cause an electrical spasm inside of you causing your head to pop out wheaties..yes, quite an unfortunate ending one of which i have lived through only to pass on the story..it isn't easy typing with a robotic head and hook fingers

What are lightning rods how do they funcition?

A lightning rod is a very sharply pointed metal rodmounted high on a building or other structure that could be damaged if lightning struck it, with the point of the rod pointing directly up. The lightning rod is connected by a wire to a grounding rod driven deeply into the earth, to provide a discharge path for the lightning rod.

When a thunderstorm passes over, the electrical strain in the air causes a corona discharge from the sharp point of the lightning rod grounding the air above the building. In many cases this cone of grounded air above the building slowly discharges the electrical strain and prevents an actual lightning strike.

Should a lightning strike happen anyway it will follow the cone of grounded air (as it is the highest conductor) toward the lightning rod, then down the wire to the grounding rod where it disperses safely in the earth. Should this actually happen the system must be inspected for damage, especially the wire as it may partially melt (in which case it must be replaced for continued protection)!

Why is it dangerous to swim during a storm?

If lightning strikes and u r in water, then u could possibly get electrocuted.

The main reason is that during a storm there is often rain and heavy winds, the rain would generally be colder and could lower your core body temperature if you stayed out in it too long, it would also render it harder to see if it was heavy. The main concern though is the wind as you would have to fight against waves which could include whitecaps and the current of the water. It would tire you out very fast and there is a strong risk that you could drown.

Who sings the first part of lightning?

The song "Lightning" is performed by the boy band "The Wanted". The first line of the song, "You're in control, pressing pause on my heartbeat," is performed by band member Tom Parker.

What does pitch mean in music?

Pitch represents the perceived fundamental frequency of a sound. Pitch is the frequency of vibration that produces a musical note. Intuitively, Pitch refers to the highness or lowness of notes in the music. Pitch is one of the 3 major auditory attributes of sound: pitch (frequency), loudness (volume) and timbre (sound color).

Is a supercell stronger than a hurricane?

No. While the winds in a tornado spawned by a supercell may be faster than those in any hurricane, a supercell is small compared to a hurricane and so, as a whole, is less powerful in terms of energy released.

What time of the day does hail usually fall?

Hail typically falls during severe thunderstorms, which are more common in the late afternoon and early evening when the atmosphere is most unstable. This is when warm, moist air rises quickly, leading to the formation of strong updrafts that can create hail. However, hail can occur at any time of day if the right conditions are present.

Supports streamflow during non-storm periods?

During non-storm periods, groundwater can help maintain streamflow by continuing to discharge into the stream. This base flow sustains streamflow levels even when there is no additional surface runoff from precipitation. Groundwater acts as a consistent source of water for streams, rivers, and other bodies of water, ensuring a steady flow throughout the year.

Does god cough when it is thunder?

Thunder is a result of the super heating of the atmosphere surrounding a lightning bolt.

Lightening can heat the air it passes through to over ten thousand degrees for just a split second, the rapid heating causes the air to expand very quickly then contract just as quickly. This causes a large pressure wave to ripple through the air. Your ears hear pressure waves in the air, The Loud bang you hear is the large pressure wave traveling through the air. The closer the lightening the louder the BANG.
