carefully remove the bezel around the radio. should be just clips but may have some screws, look close and pry gently. then the radio is held in with 4 10mm head bolts. then unplug connectors in the back of the radio

Domestics are usually 60k miles and foreign are usually 90k miles for timing belt replacements. I'm not sure if there is a certain number of years they say to change it even if you haven't passed 90k on your car. I recommend calling a local Toyota dealership and asking someone in the Service department the same question.

the air filter is located under the hood on the driver side behind the battery. u have to undo the clasps and use a socket wrench to loosen the bolt. once done just lift the air filter cover and put in the new filter. make sure u rehook the clasps and tighten the bolt back up.

On the side of the key less entry fob is a black button with the shape of a key on the button. Depress the button and pull out the key which usually has a key ring attached. With the Toyota key removed you will see a slot about 5/16" long. Using a flat bladed screwdriver the length of the slot, twist the screwdriver and separate the two halves. With the two halves separated you can see the button battery that needs to be replaced. Replace the battery, snap the two parts back together, reinsert the key and you are ready to go for several more years. The correct battery size can be found in your owner's manual...

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking, but on the 1996 model, when you puch the ECT (electronically controlled transmission) button, the light comes on and your gear shifting ratio changes to a more "high-performance" mode (if that's what you call it!). Does that help?

There is no "fuse" specifically for the check engine light. There is a fuse listed "gauge" which should control all instrument cluster functions. There is a fuse, and several for the ECM unit in the car, which controls the engine and will issue trouble codes when a fault is detected, thus lighting the CEL.(check engine light) The best course of action would be to visit a local shop, and have them scan the trouble code, and have them share the infomation. If your shop charges for this service, all (most) popular auto part stores will scan it for you for free,. You can then gain a recomendation from the personel, best suited for your scenario.

Something left unplugged or disconnected? Dumb luck? Some check engine lights are programmed to come on after a certain amount of miles. Maybe your car got to that mileage at the same time. I vote for the first one though. Use only Toyota original time belt

If you are not sure if the tank itself is the problem you can check fairly easily to see if the hose has slipped off the nipple at the tank bottom of the tank, which is what happened to my 2007 Avalon. You will need either a Phillips head screwdriver or a 10mm metric wrench and a flashlight. Turn the front tires as if you are making a left hand turn. Underneath the car, in front of the passenger side wheelwell, remove the screws holding the underside plastic road shield to the frame. There are a bunch of screws holding it but you should only need to remove the two holding the right rear end of the shield (near the wheelwell) to the frame. I removed three more going along the front side of the road shield as well as one wheelwell flap bolt, but don't think that it was necessary. Pull the wheelwell flap back (toward the tire) and you will be looking right at the hose connection to the tank. As far as I could tell, the hose slips on without a clamp, like the old vacuum hoses did. Not sure about this (the clamp) since it's the weekend and Toyota service is closed, but you could call your local Toyota service department and they are usually very helpful with stuff like this.

It's in the owners manual. Turn the key to the "on" position with the odometer reading showing. Hold the trip reset button in for five seconds or more. When 0000000000 shows, release the button. The current odometer reading should show.
