that's not really going to help.... remove the cigarette lighter by pulling the trim off the radio there is a fusable link on the cigarette lighter socket itself. you can replace the socket or try to replace the fuseable link its a peice of 14 gauge aluminum wire....

It may be under the drivers seat as on the lucida. If changing radio to standard you need to bypass the amp unit and wire radio to speakers direct. This means connecting all speaker wires to the ones that go from the old radio to amp unit. You will need to make a note of all connections as you do them all one by one. Tricky if your not experienced with wiring.

unless it has been converted it probably has r-12. look under the hood for a sticker that says converted to r134. if there is no sticker you can have it retrofitted for r-134, or you can do it yourself with a kit from a local parts store. A word of warning though, all the r-12 must be evacuated from the system ny a licensed a/c mechanic before you can use the kit. r-12 is toxic and harmful to the enviorment and must be disposed of properly.

To replace the power steering pump on a Toyota Previa, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal and remove any components obstructing access to the pump. Drain the power steering fluid and detach the hoses connected to the pump. Unbolt the pump from its mounting bracket, then install the new pump by reversing the removal steps, ensuring all connections are secure. The Spare tire is located under the rear of the vehicle. There is a long bolt that secures thehanger. The head of the bolt can be accessed from the inside of the vehicle. Just inside the rear door the carpet in the floor has a small cut. Lift the cut in the carpet to gain access to the long bolt and use the tire iron to loosen the bolt. The spare tire hanger will lower along with the spare tire.

Replace the PCV valve first if it has one. I recommend buying a good quality PCV that is made of metal. I once replaced the pcv on my 86 Toyota pickup with a Toyota pcv that was made of plastic. Two weeks later my truck started smoking severely whenever it was at an idle. It was a defective pcv. I have also purchased defective Fram PCVs. Make sure you are using the correct weight of engine oil unless your engine has a lot of miles or you never change your engine oil. If your engine has high mileage try using thicker oil like 20w-50 castrol in the summer. If you haven't changed your oil in a couple of years then you should change it with the normal grade oil then change it again a couple of weeks later with the normal grade oil. If it still smokes after the second oil change you should change it a third time using thicker oil. The purpose of changing it so many times is to get some of the sludge out of the engine and hopefully keep your oil pump intake from being clogged by hard chunks of sludge. If none of this stuff helps then you need an engine overhaul.

I learned that the trick to removing the inside handle is to place a piece of cloth in the gap between the handle and cover and work it back and forth, eventually popping the clip off and sliding the handle out. It worked. You replace the clip by pushing with a flat screwdriver.

I own a 1994 1.3l Automatic Corolla which was imported from Japan by a previous owner in 2001. According to the plate under the bonnet it's colour code is 3K9 and the trim is FB96 (grey).

Internet searches show the colour 3K9 to be light beige, but my car is a metallic gold. There does not seem to be any evidence that the car has been repainted, but I suppose that that is possible. I am currently looking for some spray touch up paint for it.

I had to replace a frost plug in a 1992 Estima emina ( Previa ) narrow body model today, If you take out the drivers seat and tilt the pasengers seat backwards, remove the plastic trim which holds the carpet down, peel the carpet towards the rear of the vehicle you will find an access hatch, remove the bolts and then the panel giving you access to the motor. at the front of the access hole nearest to the pedals you will see the top of the thermostat housing assembly and there is a frost plug in the top of that. It was 28mm in diameter and was readily available off the shelf at the local auto shop. the old one had coroded and had a small hole appear in it causing a major leak due to the pressure of the system when the motor was running.
