If you are looking for a FREE font that looks like Myriad Pro Regular, visit www.dafont.com. In the navigation, select "Sans serif" under "Basic". On the second page, there is a font near the bottom called "Sansation". Download that one. You can trust that there are no viruses because I have downloaded it. Feel free to look at more fonts.

The old Mac fonts are not supported anymore at dafont. First, you have to convert the font files (.ttf or .otf) you have downloaded.

The standard font size for writing is typically a size 12. Most people who write on Microsoft Word will use this size with a traditional font such as Times New Roman.

This depends on usage and size. For large blocks of text, serif fonts are the best for readability.

Helvetica is supposed to be the clearest and easiest to read font.

"Sans" means "without." Serif is the little unnecessary lines in computer text that makes the font look more fancy. Sans-serif is therefore without those lines, so it's very simple text like this font which you are reading right now.
