You'll spend more than just nine weeks there. First, you'll inprocess at the Adjutant General Battalion on post. That's where you'll get fitted for shoes and uniforms, receive your initial uniform issue, get stuck like a pincushion with needles, and your readiness to go "downrange" will be measured. If you're too out of shape, you'll be held back in a fitness training group.
Once you go downrange, you'll usually be met with what they call the "shark attack". You'll be assigned to your BCT platoon, you'll get instructions on how they want the racks made up, assembling your TA-50 gear, etc.
Throughout the nine weeks, you'll do various training... obstacle courses, pugil sticks, marksmanship, etc. You'll have to complete all of these tasks, as well as your APFT, before you'll be able to graduate and move on to AIT.
In a nutshell, you'll have a lot of learning, a little sleep, and a lot of yelling.
