145 million Valentine's Day cards are bought in the United States annually.
Um. Personally I believe that Valentines day is only for girls. I never expect a gift from my girl on Vday. That's her day. But if you are inclined to get him something a IOU for sex is always a great gift to get :L But if that's not your style just get him a watch or some shoes. (yea boring)
There are Valentines day creative ideas and, and then there are Valentines day cute ideas. This is where all things cute get their share of Valentine's Day. On this day you can allow yourself for that extra cuteness with love..
Something simple like flowers for you don't want to overwhelm you date. Also if you get too many gifts early you'll run out of ideas later
it all depends on how old the "boy" is and are you dateing him?
A- if you are dating him and he is age 11-14 then probably just ask him what his favorite candy is and get him that and a little stuffed animal nothing to serious! :)
B- if he is not your boyfriend then i wouldnt buy him a thing it could ruin a perfect freindship mabey just send him some signals that you like him or somthing but i dont know to each is their own as i like to say!
_-_-_-_-_- well hope this helps-_-_-_-_-_

When your girlfriend or wife says "You don't need to get me anything for Valentine's Day this year," don't buy it! No matter what you think, your girlfriend is most likely expectingsome kind of gift, candy, card or flowers for Valentine's Day. Stop complaining about how it is a commercial holiday and express your love! You'll be glad you did!
Some ideas:
1. Flowers - go classic with red roses or exotic with orchids.
2. Candy - almost every store will be selling some sort of heart-shaped candy box for Valentine's Day.
3. Jewelry - it never disappoints.
4. Teddy bear - always a classic gift!
5. Handwritten card - the most meaningful thing, your thoughts about her, don't cost a thing
6. Romantic dinner - make it yourself or make reservations.
7. Scrapbook - gather all your photos and make a book of your memories together
8. "Heart attack" - cut our dozens of paper hearts and tape them all over her room, car, or locker. If you want to get more creative, write a reason you love her on each heart.
9. A playlist of your favorite songs - it's personal and affordable!
10. Your time - just hang out and tell her how much you love her.
11. Photography - be creative! Make a collage of photos, create a video of digital pics set to music (use her fave song), paint a picture of her, or use Microsoft Paint/Picasa to draw pictures/animals/funny scenes and then cut and paste your faces into the photos (girls love a guy with a sense of humor!).

Well...I think a perfect gift for someone special would be a voucher to their favourite shop, you wouldn't Have to worry that you got the wrong present as the receiver will choose his/her own present. !!!!
Red is the color of energy, love, and passion. That is why red roses and gifts wrapped in red play a dominant role on Valentine's Day. Pink is an expression of affection, understanding, and sweetness. Pink is used to express friendship and familial love.
There is a difference between a small and a big daughter for giving a gift in valentine. For a small daughter, it could be great if you give her a toy, a chocolate box or something that really proofs that you love her that your small daughter would be happy from the fabulous gift. For a big daughter, it could be great if you give her something which tells ''love'' as we all know as usual that all the big people are always giving gifts like this in the Valentine's Day, something which gives her a proof that you really love and you really think about her and you really care about her.
for an 11 year old give him something that is funny and yet still shows him you care about him. remember you dont have to buy him something for me a simple kiss on the cheek makes my13 year old guy blush. your still young soo keep it fun!!!!
i have recently learned that guys (well most of them) dont care what you get them. i had this problem with my bf. they just want a kiss and too spend the day with us ! but if you insist on getting him a gift you can get him a shirt, hat, etc. custom made wit your names on it or something like that . also make him his favorite food or desert. another thing you can try is a scrap book that is an A-Z book full of your guys' memories ..... EXAMPLE: this is one i would use for my boyfriend .. B is for Bus, when you talked to me for the first time. you dont need too buy your bf anything expensive , it just needs to come from the heart. i know it is very hard shopping for guys especially because most dont tell you what too get them. the truth is most dont know what they want! :)
GOOD LUCKK !
chocolates or try finding out what he wants
when was Valentines day last on a Sunday
I'm pretty sure it was 1999. The Leap years caused the skips. Funny, the only Valentines Days I remember are the ones that fell on Sundays! 1999, 1993, 1988.
"Colombia, where it is celebrated every third Saturday of September"

A handful, 5 or 6 can be enough. Girls don't care about the flowers, they just like that fact that you are there with them and that you were thinking about them. Knowing that your boyfriend is thinking about you, or did something romantic for you is what girls like most.
Going Dutch.
Girls: Makeup, Cute top, Big heart candy, Heart earing, Dress, Pink i phone, gift basket, membership to something, a red white pink purse,
they do the same thing we do!what else would they do?
A good gift for any teenage boy is cologne. Fierce from Abercrobie smells good, but it's like $30. If you want something cheaper you can't go wrong w/ candy, or a stuffed bear. I'm probably gonna get my boyfriend Fierce. I hope that answers your question. :]
Roses are cliche, so settle for something bright and unusual such as Violets, different colored lilies, and Daises.
Alternatively, you could get her a bouquet of her favorite flowers, if you know what they are.
Men purchase vastly more valentines than women do.
