Its a long process as it hidden behind most of the engines components. I'll break it down for you step by step:

  1. Ensure the engine is cool and the engine has been off for several hours
  2. Unplug the battery
  3. Open the engine bay cover
  4. Remove the cylinder furthest from the front and the spark plugs from the rest
  5. Empty the break fluid and disconnect the break lines
  6. Once you have done this you'll see fuel injectors that where connected to the removed cylinders. Weld these shut (so nothing leaks as the next part is risky. Oh and don't worry you just cut the injectors open when your done to allow the cylinders to work again.
  7. You'll then see a blue square in the base of the engine bay, saw that open and you'll see feull filter in there.
  8. Once the you can see the filter just unscrew the four screws around its edge and replace it with a new one
  9. Then just undo everything have done it should ll work well!

How much hp is a 1500 cc vw motor?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Displacement does not correspond to horsepower. A 1500cc engine made in the 1960s was much less advanced, and will not be as powerful as a 1500cc engine made in 2015. Give a specific engine model, and answering this question will be much more feasible
