My manual says 3500lbs with a 300lb tongue weight. I personally wouldn't tow anything over 2500 lbs with a 240.
You have to lift the car and look from underneath. There are 2 bolts that go thru the bellhousing and connect to the starter. Locate the starter (on Left Hand drive the starter is on the driver side). The 2 bolts are 19mm. The bottom bolt is easier to get out, the top one will require a long extension on the racthet and perhaps an impact gun. Try to loosen with a breaker bar if you have one.
Overdrive relay switch behind the middle air vents..... Manual Transmission: the wires sometimes break if it is the type with the button on the gear/knob/ stick........... if it is a manual transmission.......the switch on the gearbox which tells when 4th gear is engaged can be faulty.....and will not allow the overdrive to engaged.
Loosen the Tensioner pulley and push against the spring, and put a nail in the small hole to lock the spring back. Align the Crank pulley, Intermediate shaft, and Cam pulley to TDC, look for the notches for reference. Then put the belt on the gears in that order, and re check. Then pull the nail, and lock the bearing in place to keep correct tension.
Check your flame trap first for a clogged trap.
On the backside in the middle of the seats there is two buttons you have to push and then pull up the headrest.

The gear shifter has a retaining clip, just below the shifter knob. Hold the retaining clip in, on both sides of the shifter rod, and the shifter knob will come off.

You might need to replace the fuel pump relay, as it tends to burn out in the 200 series. You might need to replace the fuel pump relay, as it tends to burn out in the 200 series.
The only reasons to take a solar cover off should be to swim or if the water temperature gets hotter than you desire.
Typically the problem lies with the rheostat, the knob you turn to make the dash lights brighter or dimmer. When you turn the knob a little metal finger rubs along a circular spring changing the resistance, thus changing the intensity of illumination. That spring gets corroded. You can clean it, or you can replace it.
Undo the 2 screws on the plastic cover around the dash. Remove it and you will see 3 more screws. Pull the clocks to the side and you will see the all the little bulbs.
Sealed transmission. That is why there is no dip stick for checking level. You can also see it is not in the owners manual. No dipstick. Its a sealed unit...

I'm not sure what year or model of the car but if its somewhat new meaning about 1994. Then the computer does it and there is no adjustment. If you getting a rough or low idle it is probably time for a tune-up. If tune-up doesn't work you may have to replace idle control valve, up to 1989 there was an idle adjustment knob on throtle body for fine tunning.
unscrew the two hex scres in the middle of the consoule take off the ashtray and cover for the fuses there will be a clip get a small screwdriver to pry the clip off and then you can remvoe the panle and there will be a small bulb that you can replace under the shifter
Unless it is broken or cracked it does not need to be replaced. At Walmart and I'm sure automotive stores there is a product ($20) that restores the lens. It comes in a package...includes two grades of sandpaper, a gritty compound and a sealer. It is amazing. Used it on my son's 1992 Subaru and my daughters 1989 Volvo. They are almost new and you can actually see at night now.
Press and hold the rotary button on the clock face, then turn and hold in the direction you wish to go, let go when it gets near correct time then repeat using small increments.
