There are two separate matrimonies that take place in Thailand. One is reckoned as a Buddhist religious ceremony of traditional Thai wedding with several unique rituals observed step-by-step. The other is an official procedure of legal marriage registration. A procedure of the legal marriage registration quite often are preceded, followed, or gradually coincided with the wedding ceremony, if any.

That would aggrevate them more than anything that you could do otherwise. Starting a fight would only bring them victory... This advise is only good if you and your mate see eye to eye though.

She doesn't have to unless she's been invited by the stepdaughter herself. But if she needs to go for the sake of her husband, who is the father's daughter, then she should but limit interaction with the bride. She probably would do the bride more favor by not being there, except that people might be looking for her, than she's there and still people would talk. I think it's best that they deal with their issues first so that both of them can be comfortable at the wedding. In the end, it's the bride's call.

If you intend to invite people to only a certain part of the day, the easiest way is to print several versions of your wedding invitation for the different groups: day guests, reception guests, people coming to an evening party etc. That way no one can misinterpret their invitation and show up at part of the day you meant to shar only with certain (close) family or friends.

As a cheaper option you could also have a general announcement printed in the card (stating when and where you're getting married) and print inlays to include to each person. We had the offcial card printed by a company, the printed the inlays at home on our own computer. It still looked fab, but costed much less than having everything done professionally.

It depends how the wedding is organized and if the bride wants them to travel with them they will but they definitely follow the bride down the aisle.

I think it's called a garter. It's usually made out of some sort of elastic and covered with a form of lace. It's usually removed by the groom during the reception, which means he has to go under the bride's dress with loads of people watching. What's done with it afterwards, is up to the newlyweds.

There's NO tradition involved, since every wedding is different.
