Factors affecting the demand of wheat?
Since corn and wheat can both be used as types or grain, they are in a way interchangeable amongst buyers. These types of goods are called substitute good, one can be substituted for another. If the price of corn rises, that leaves wheat being the more favored product (because it's cheaper). When an increase for the demand for wheat increase, the supply will decrease. The opposite would happen if the price of corn falls. If it falls under the price of wheat, corn will then be more favored. Thus making it the more demanded product. Under the law of demand, supply and demand work in opposite directions. When the demand increases, the supply decreases. When the demand decrease, the supply increases.

Does Mikes hard lemonade have wheat in it?
I saw this on another website. The person (Terri) contacted Mike's Hard Lemonade and this was their response:
Thank you for taking the time to contact mike's hard lemonade. Mike's products available in the US are lemon clear malt based ( fermented barley beer malt) beverages. In independent lab analysis mike's products do not contain any traces of gluten protein, however, our products are bottled in multiple sites that produce other malt beverages. We cannot guarantee complete absence of gluten contamination from other products run on the same equipment.

The easiest way to avoid gluten is to drink a fermented drink based on a non-grain such as fruit juice--wine or hard cider are definitely safe.
Though there is a division of opinion, the general consensus is that most hard liquor is safe. This is because, although many drinks (such as whiskeys) have grain alcohol has a base, gluten generally doesn't get passed through distillation. This also means neutral spirit is generally safe (as is vodka), and drinks based off them (like gin, liqueurs, and absinthe) will be safe as well. There are also hard liquors based on non-grains (like rum, tequila, and brandy) that will be definitely safe to drink.
Beer will be the toughest drink to avoid gluten. This is because of the general preference among brewers for barley (which does contain gluten). There are also a number of wheat-based beers which would not be safe. Perhaps the only known beers safe to drink would be African-based beers based of either sorghum or millet. But a couple warnings. Not only are these grains hard to obtain and to brew, but their end result is of a very different consistency from your average beer.

Is wheat pollard not for human consumption when in fact it is from wheat like wheat bran?
Germ is actually short for germination. Referring to the way plants reproduce. The germ is the zygote of the plant. It's where all the DNA instructions is held in the plant. The germ has the most nutrients, it is a small piece at the bottom of the grain. The bran is the thin layer surrounding the endosperm. The endosperm is the part that you eat when you eat white bread or rice. The bran a thin shell, the germ is a separate part at the bottom of the grain piece. The bran has most of the fiber, the germ has alot of the nutrients. The endosperm is the part of the grain which is starch.

Usually not as most beer is made from barley, however there are wheat beers as well and can usually be told apart from barley beer by their paler colour and are more likely to be cloudy, it will also probably say it clearly on the bottle that it is a wheat beer for marketing purposes as they are comparatively rare and thus seem exotic.
