Is there a way to convert a binary dll file to text so the dll file can be read and understood?
If you have access to the symbols and a debugger, then yes. However, without a symbol file for the binary, you can only extract limited information from the binary. You might try Spy++(SpyXX.exe), Dependency Walker (depends.exe), and/or a hex editor. A symbol file will have the same name as the binary DLL, or EXE and a file extension of .pdb (e.g. ntdll.dll, ntdll.pdb / ntoskrnl.exe, ntoskrnl.pdb)
How does Pidgin create log files?
Pidgin creates logs by saving the contents of all incoming and outgoing messages to a series of files on your hard drive. The log directory can be found in Linux under ~/.purple/logs . Inside the log directory the files have the following setup: protocol/screenname/buddyScreenname/yyyy-mm-dd-hhmmss.html So for instance, if I started talking to my friend bob on AIM from my screenname CoolGuy at 1:49 PM on Jan 23, 2009, the file would be saved as logs/aim/coolguy/bob/2009-01-23-134900.html

How can you show protected operating system files?
Windows XP can be configured to either hide or show protected operating system files and/or hidden files and folders.
* Why hide them? If you are setting up a computer for someone else, you may wish to hide certain files to help prevent the user from accidentally deleting or moving critical Windows files. Or, even if you are an expert user, you may wish to hide files to prevent 'accidents'.
* Why show them? If you are trying to diagnose a problem (virus, spyware, etc.) and are an expert user, you may need to see all of the files on your system to determine if they have been changed.
1. Double-click "My Computer" on the desktop.
2. Select "Tools" - "Folder Options".
3. When the "Folder Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, select the "View" tab.
4. Scroll down to "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)" and check or uncheck the box as desired.
5. Underneath "Hidden files and folders", check the desired radio button to show or not show these items.

I am getting HDD error occurred on my Panasonic camcorder how can I fix this?
One option - would be a low-level format. Connect the camcorder to a computer. Make a note of the drive letter that windows assigns to the camcorder (Should be f,g,h etc) Open the MS-DOS window on the computer, and type FORMAT [drive]: /l.
The [drive] refers to the dive letter of the camcorder. So - for example, say the camcorder was dive G, you would type format g: /l The /l switch tells the computer to do a low-leveel format instead of a 'standard'.
Once formatted, it should be okay.
