Can you install xp after Linux in a computer on the same hard drive?
Yes, you can. But no in the same logical partition. But it's not easy, because you will have to edit boot.ini file manually which is not trivial. It's better to install Xp and then Linux.
Will spore work on your hp pavilion entertainment PC?
Yes it can. As a matter of fact it plays it as well as a much more exspensive model. Now (whether this will interest you or not) you cannot, however, play Oblivion on the highest graphic setting. Which is really disapointing. You can only play the game on Medium quality. And even then it does slow down a very small amount if you go outside, or are in the Emperial city. It does work really well in caves though, another game it can play is pinball. And that's awesome don't you think?

How do you update driver and bios on your computer?
Your computer's BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) is the first software your PC loads. It sets the stage for your operating system, so to speak, by finding all your PC's various hardware components and letting the operating system know it can use them.
As with any software, your computer or motherboard manufacturer periodically updates the BIOS to fix bugs, add compatibility with new devices, improve caching functions, and make several other hardware tweaks that can speed up your boot time and fix annoying issues. These updates are available at the manufacturer's site. But if you make a mistake in the update process, you risk rendering your PC unbootable.
How do you change your admins password without Single user mode with a mac?
Well, if you ARE the administrator, just go to the apple icon on the top left of the screen, and under that press "System Preferences". Then just press the "accounts" icon and hit the "Change Password" icon. If you're like me, than you're not the administrator. If you're not, than dig up your mac install disk. It looks like some kind of wildcat. Mine says "Snow Leopard". Put that in and restart the computer. After the "bong", hold down the "alt" or "option" key. Click on the arrow under your install disk. After it loads up, press "Use English" and then press ok. press Utilities, then change password. from here you can change any password you want.

Google Mail has a nice calender built into it. If you get a free account you can access the calender from the top of window. It has many features that, I believe, many other programs intended for the use of a calender do not include.

Why does a computer just restart by itself even though everything was checked OK?
Start by checking for viruses. Next, check CPU and internal temperatures. Most new PCs will reboot if the CPU goes too hot. Sometimes the Power Supply will cause reboots as it is going down. Need to get replacement PS (or put meter onto PS)to check its output. Cheers.

Does deleting a partition while installing Xp means formatting the partition?
No. However, formatting a partition will effective erase everything from an existing partition.
Keep in mind that partitions are simply sections on a disk carved out to hold files, and they must be formatted before anything can be stored there. Re-formatting a partition simply wipes out the contents so you can start, which is probably what your questions refers to.

Are the SRV records of a child domain updated automatically during Active Directory installation?
After running DCPROMO, A text file containing the appropriate DNS resource records for the domain controller is created. The file called Netlogon.dns is created in the %systemroot%\System32\config folder and contains all the records needed to register the resource records of the domain controller.
Netlogon.dns is used by the Windows 2000 NetLogon service and to support Active Directory for non-Windows 2000 DNS servers.
If you are using a DNS server that supports the SRV resource record but does not support dynamic updates (such as a UNIX-based DNS server or a Windows NT Server 4.0 DNS server), you can import the records in Netlogon.dns into the appropriate primary zone file to manually configure the primary zone on that server to support Active Directory.
so if you are using w2k with dynamic update it will automatically create the SRV
