dude you are soo wrong. ok the healing factor helps but it was because it was so cold that his lower body was frozen then he reattached it to the rest of his body and his healing factor regenerated his veins and muscles and so on

If we compare the ages of Beast and Cyclops when the series first came out, they were about two to three years apart; therefore, if we assume that Cyclops (who ages more visibly) is in his thirties, that means that Beast is in his thirties.

There is no current way for us to have powers like his. It is best to remember that he is a fictional character and if you want powers like his, you'll have to use your imagination.

Well, in the movie X-men Origins- Wolverine, Gambit drops him from a plane into the sea, and he ends up on shore eventually, so I assume he swam... and in Ultimate Xmen #60-65 (I dont remember which, sorry) he shows up, on the roof of a building, dripping wet. And the building is on an island so I asume he swam there as well.

So in those universes, he can swim.
