Mixing Zoloft (sertraline), an antidepressant, with a nerve relaxer (like benzodiazepines) should only be done under the guidance of a healthcare professional. Combining these medications can increase the risk of side effects, including sedation and respiratory depression. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before mixing medications to ensure safety and efficacy.

Can Wellbutrin be taken with zoloft?

Every person differs when it comes to taking medication for depression/anxiety. I have minor anxiety and minor depression; it runs in my family. I began taking Lexapro at 19 to stabilize my mood and it worked great. It made me a little sleepier at nights, but nothing abnormal. I decided I wanted to be like a normal college kid so I went and saw my general practitioner about switching out my Lexapro to something that was similar but would "jump start" my system so I didn't feel so sleepy at 930 at night. She switched me to Wellbutrin. Let me tell you...for me, it was the worst decision I've ever made.

First off, I was an idiot to switch off a medication that worked. 10 mg, the minimal dose works great for me. I've never had any problems with Lexapro.

Second, I just quit Lexapro cold turkey and switched to Wellbutrin right away. (Which was stupid, as well) Within a couple of weeks, my brain went nuts because of the Wellbutrin. One of the side affects is paralyzing anxiety and panic attacks once it gets into your system. Literally one night I went to bed fine and the next morning I woke up with anxiety. I'm not talking about feeling nervous about something, I'm talking about the shaking, crippling anxiety where you can't move, but can't sit still. I couldn't eat and couldn't sleep for two weeks. It took being hospitalized on the GI unit with severe gastritis to realize that my body was having a negative reaction to the Wellbutrin. I've read of this happening to a couple of other people. It's really frightening when it happens, and honestly it's changed my life, especially when it comes to taking medication responsibly.

Hope I could help.

Can you take a low dosage of Zoloft during pregnancy?

I was taking Zoloft before I became pregnant and continued taking throughout the duration of my pregnancy, my gynecologist said he thought it to be the safest anti-depression medication to take during pregnancy. I was taking 50mg on a daily basis. My son is now 5yrs old, aside from having allergies, he seems to be healthy. However, it is best that you consult with your doctor (OB-Gyn) before taking any kind of medication.
