What happens to debts if a person goes into a care home for the elderly with alzheimers and the local authority claim the pension to pay for the care home leaving no money to pay the debts?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

If a person's pension is claimed by the local authority to pay for care home costs, any remaining debts may go unpaid. In this situation, it is important to communicate with the creditors about the individual's circumstances and seek advice on how to manage the debts effectively. Any joint debts could potentially fall on the other party, depending on the specific arrangements.

What is consolidated pay?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Consolidated pay is a term used to describe a set amount of money that includes all salary components, such as basic pay, allowances, and bonuses, in a single payment.

This means that instead of receiving separate payments for different components of your salary, everything is combined into one lump sum.

This can make it easier to keep track of your income and benefits. Hope this helps clarify things for you!

Where can you find a sample of a thank you letter?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

http://www.i-resign.com/uk/letters/letters.asp is one of many. Try googling (sp) resignation letter + template. ==It sounds== like you might be considering tendering a letter of resignation. If so, I believe that it can, and probably should, be short and sweet. If you have many, and/or major reasons for leaving the company, you might want to NOT itemize all of your reasons. There's no need to alienate your present employer, particularly if you hope to get a letter of recommendation. Also, if you haven't been able to solve or address those problems while on the job, it's unlikely that writing a long drawn out letter will solve them. If you find that there is no growth potential in terms of responsibility or salary, it's time to move on. You could say something like, "I've enjoyed my time here at the ABC company, but I feel that I would like to explore other opportunities." Shake hands, smile, and say goodbye. Try not to burn any bridges...I know from bitter experience!

Would you use a credit or debt card on online purchases?

User Avatar

Asked by Darkfuryofdeath

It is usually better to pay with a credit card online. Credit cards have better consumer protections, the company's fraud department will help you to resolve any situations such as identity theft or lack of delivery of goods or services. Debit cards don't have that, and it is much harder for the bank to help you since the money comes out of your account directly.

How much money does a counselor earn?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I only have an idea for England, but it would probably be roughly similar if you are from America (Just do your conversions).

To start with you would most probably be working for the NHS, earning roughly £20-25k per year.

After you are a chartered psychoanalyst or counsellor you would probably want to 'go private', where you would be earning anywhere from £30-50 an hour. The amount you earn here depends on how often you are referred to and how grand the status of your company is. You could be working 40-50 hours a week but then you could only be working 10 or so.

Hope I helped.
