Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings, and Merrell (Now with Adrian Smith+Gordon Gill Architecture) designed the Burj Khalifa (it was previously called the Burj Dubai).

He also designed other great skyscrapers including Trump International Hotel and Tower (Chicago) and Jin Mao Tower (Shanghai)

Depends:

- the project (early 80s) to build a great arch, is from the Danish architect Johann Otto von Spreckelsen and Danish engineer Erik Reitzel.

- It was ordered by the then French president François Mitterand

- The building company Bouygues builds it between 1985 and 1989. A staff of 2,000 builders, 2 of which will die during the construction, work on the Arche.

On 21st September, 2004 construction began on the Burj Khalifa (Khalifa Tower), then known as the Burj Dubai. It's exterior was completed on 1st October, 2009. Burj Khalifa was opened on 4th January, 2010.

It was completed on March 1, 1996.

Construction on the Petronas Twin Towers was began on March 1, 1993,The 88-floor towers are constructed largely of reinforced concrete, with a steel and glass facade. The buildings are a landmark of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

It is impossible to see the curvature of the earth from the first three layers of the atmosphere...

Also, it is impossible to see the curvature of the earth from an aeroplane (which flies up to 28,000 feet) whereas the Burj Khalifa's spire reaches only 2,723 feet.

Hence proved, we cannot see the curvature of the earth from the Burj Kahlifa...

The Patronas Towers are still the highest man-made structures in Malaysia and where the highest building in the world from 1998- 2004 for 6 Years.
The Patronas Towers are still very impressive and unique because the towers are made in Stainless Steel and reflect the sunlight and sky colours.

The Twin Towers are not being rebuilt. A single tower is being built -- called Freedom Tower -- which will be the new World Trade Center. Its address will be the same as the North Tower: 1 World Trade Center.

People in Cuba live in many types of houses and apartments.
