The importance of costumes in dance is because it standsout to the audience and would know who it is and might know what it is about.

Buy a cheap white strapless tube dress. Buy strips of colored fabric, sew them together for the skirt. Sew a basting stitch across the top of the colored stripes once they're sewn together to scrunch the material. Then sew the colored skirt to the dress (hem the dress if it's too long). Buy some felt material and embellishments to make different pastries, and YouTube videos on how to make them, or joannes has some iron on embellishments that would work just as well. Sew any additional buttons, embellishments, or sparkles for finishing touches. Oh! Don't forget the blue wig!! Lol :)

People do Gumboot dancing because they work in the mines and if they talk they will be punished by their boss so they use gumboot dance to communicate with each other so they're basically sending messages to each other
