Try to suggest that she find a counselor or psychologist to talk to, or even another family member. There are some free counselors at free clinics in some areas, if it is too expensive otherwise. Tell your sister that you love her, but that it is too painful for you to talk about. If she needs information from you that she can't get on her own, give her the information, and then tell her you don't want to talk about it anymore.

You must feel saddened that he abandoned you when you were so young and unable to do anything about it ! It would understandable if you were angry with him now, him wanting to come back into your life. After all you never really knew him.

This is something you need to take time to make your mind over. You cannot just say yes or no as it would have no meaning. I think the main reason on your decision will be, do I want to get to know him or not. He is your father no matter what but he has not been a father to you. You may think, why should I bother with him after what he did. I cannot say why he left you, but just maybe there were irretrievable differences between your mother and father that just could not be resolved. It may have been for the best for both you and your mom that he went when he did. Maybe your mom spoke about him to you and said why he left, mabe she didn't. You may have good reason not to be involved with him. It seems he never forgot about you though as he knew how to contact you.

You need to look at all these things troubling you and ask yourself if you can love him as a father or even as a friend ! It may take time or it may me instant, it may not happen at all. One thing is for sure though and it is your decision what you do or tell him. If he is a loving father he will respect your wishes but keep trying to get back into your heart somehow.
