Should a child correct their parents?

I am 20 years old and I recently moved to college. When I lived at home there were things that really bugged me about my parents but never said anything. Now when I visit I see them doing the same things to my little sister and I feel compelled to say something, only when I do my parents get all upset about it.

For example, my mother asked my sister to look for something in the cabinet and my sister couldn't find it. Then my mom tried and found it right off. She started saying how obvious it was right in front of my sister and how she couldn't see it. I told my mom she shouldn't act like that because it makes my sister feel stupid, and that she tried her best. Then my father tells me to shut up!

Am I wrong? Should it be none of my business?

No a "child" should not correct their parents, that doesn't mean the parents are always right, but as the first answer points out by challenging the parent is not helping.

If a child sees deficits in the parents style she could speak to them in a way that is not criticism, ask them about how they were raised and how it made them feel to be put down. But correcting a parent is not usually the answer.

How do you act like you have ADHD I need to know for a performance?

A few kids in my school have ADHD and to act like you have it you need to

1. fidget a lot (play with your hands in weird ways)

2. not make a lot of direct eye contact

3. never sit still (keep moving by hoping or movie feet)

4. just look in all directions when someone is talking and pretend you listening but you're actually not.

That's the best advice I can give you. I sit next to someone in my english class with ADHD and thats basically what he does all during class.

Yes, there is a statistical correlation that if someone in a family is diagnosed with a mental illness the probability is higher that others in the family will also have mental disorders (relative to a family with no known individuals with diagnosed mental illness).

The cause of this correlation is unknown, but is believed to have both genetic and environmental contributions.
