You would probably fly from Alaska to one of the cities on the east coast of the USA that has flights to Ireland, like New York or Boston, and from there fly to Ireland. Wearing them here makes you look as if you don't know the predictable weather and that means you won't blend in too easily. Normally men were jeans and shirts or polo t-shirts. Typically Irish men don't like to stand out and go for colour tones that are dark and its very rare to see even a pair of cream chinos on a guy. That's not to say that all Irish men dress like that. Some guys wear fabulous shirts with different colours and patterns and not predictable checks or stripes. Not your same o, same o. And then you hear words of admiration from other guys saying "gosh, I wish I could get away with wearing a shirt like that" and really mean it as a compliment. So I don't know if that answers the question. This is my first one to answer here so I might have been too long, but I wanted to be thorough. Just ask if you need to know anything else about this, because I really am an expert in this one.
