It takes 3 years to become a CT Technologist. 2 years of x-ray school first, then if there's open position in a CT department the other CT techs will train you. CT training itself by other CT techs will take about a year before you can feel confident and be competent.

If MRI data is stored on tape, then it can't be played on any disc player. If the data is formatted as a television signal and then stored on a DVD, it is quite possible that the images can be played to a television.
