Daura-Suruwal, typically termed as 'Labeda-Suruwal' is the traditional Nepali dress. The dress has several religious beliefs identifying its designs and has therefore remained the same from the years. The Daura has eight strings that serves to tie itself up around the body. Eight is the lucky number in Nepali mythology. Also, the Daura has five pleats or Kallis, signifying Pancha Buddha or Pancha Ratna. And the closed neck of the Daura signifies the snake around the Lord Shiva's neck.

The Nepali dress for women is a cotton sari (Guniu), a cloth garment worn with a blouse. It is also worn in India and Sri Lanka.

Yes, it is a democratic republic. At last 240 years old monarchy has met its end in Nepal, a neighbor country of India. This year(2008), in the month of April there were general elections for constituent assembly in Nepal and the Maoist organization won the power with great majority. The first resolution that this new organized Nepal constituent assembly passed was to end the monarchy and to set up the democracy. On the last April 28, with the passing of resolution of end of monarchy, by the new constituent assembly of Nepal, the flag that represented the monarch's rule in Nepal was removed and in its place the national flag of Nepal was hoisted on the Narayanhiti palace.

God has been very kind to our country to provide her unlimited natural resources. Nepal is known as the second richest country in water resources next to brazil . rushing rivers and rivulets , gorges with astonishing depth, roaring falls, lakes and so on have contributed to the enrichment of water significance in Nepal. The major rivers like Mechi, Koshi , Bagmati, Narayani, Mahakali, karnali gandaki etc the lakes like Mahendra Tal , Phewa Tal etc are some etc are present in Nepal. We are rich for the hydro power genration . however due to the lack of political stability , manpower , skills , investment and so on , we have not been able to utilize the electricity and we are facing the problems of load shedding .
