Depends on the vehicle. Most common is in the fuse block under the dash above the left foot. Possibly in a panel under the steering column. Glove box. In line fuse close to the radio. In back of the radio itself. Fuse block under the hood.

I have been trying to do that a while ago as someone told me there to just take the clips off with a flat head screwdriver

however, it didnt work but underneath the wheel there are small screws that u need to remove or something, i have a feeling the answer is there.

Basically what I know is that if you manage to remove that big wood cover, you will be able to remove the radio easily and I have a feeling that the big cover is attached to the pad under the wheel.

there are about 5 screws, these have the wierd star heads on them so you need the right screw driver. All the way to the left on the wood cover you'll find one in the AC vent. Just turn it so you see the screw head or remove the moving vent (turn and pull out). Two more above the dash, bring steering wheel all the way down for easier access, same size on all screws. Pull cover above radio (all across the top of the radio). where you'll find one or two more.

pull wooden cover off and you'll see the radio exposed. Underneath the radio are two nuts that you'll have to loosen but not all the way off. pull radio out.

converting an FM receiver itself would require so much electronics you may as well buy a DAB.

The only viable alternative as I see it is a small DAB radio that instead of pumping out sound transmits FM radio signals, much like the MP3 - Radio converters for cars.

Pure have one on the market called the "Highway" and is specifically for use in UK cars. I guess its viable to use it at home too. Only problem being that you'll need one for every radio in the house.

u take the wood trim off from the dash pop it out and turn two screws in the glove box then take out two more screws from under the center dash piece near the ash tray then there is acouple more srews holding the radio in and unplug it o and if u have a theft lock system deactivate it opppss!
